Your POV

Me and my girlfriend, Ruby, were hanging out at a carnival nearby, just on the outskirts of Vale. It was our first actual date since I confessed to her last Thursday.
"Woah, so much stuff!" She said, in awe at how large the carnival was. I just let out a small chuckle and ruffled her hair.
"Calm down, short stack." I said. She gave me an annoyed look, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Why do you have to be so tall!" She pouted, annoyed.
"Hey, it has its benefits." I said, picking her up and putting her on my shoulders. "Such as letting me do this!" Ruby chuckled a bit, and I couldn't help but blush. Cute. I then noticed a carousel off in the distance. It seemed the little Rose on my shoulders did too, as she pointed at it.
"Let's go on that!" She exclaimed.
"Sure thing, Petal." I said, looking up at her. I could see her blush, and it was almost as red as what she was named after. I couldn't help but chuckle. Walking over, we saw quite the queue, so I had to put Ruby down.
"Awww." She groaned. "That was fun..."
"Ruby? (Y/N)?" Someone said. The voice was behind us, so I turned around to see who it was. It was none other than Summer Rose, followed by a Qrow Branwen, who was surprisingly sober.
"Well well well, if it isn't my favorite niece and her overly tall boyfriend." Qrow said, making me annoyed.
"QROW! I will not HESITATE to kill you!" I growled, making him shrink in fear. Both Ruby and Summer laughed a little. "So, what are you two doing here?" I asked.
"Just hanging out with the rest of the team." Summer replied, followed by a hum of confirmation from Qrow.
"I still don't like the fact that my sister is here though." Qrow stated, scowling a little. "Well, I think we should leave you two lovebirds alone for now. Let's go short stack." He then added. Me and Ruby both blushed, and Summer seemed annoyed.
"I'm not THAT short!" She exclaimed, walking away with Qrow. I hadn't even realized that me and Ruby had started walking again until I slammed my head on the frame of the carousel.
"Owww." I groaned. Ruby was just laughing like crazy.
"A little help here Petal?" I asked.
"Fine, fine. But that was quite funny (N/N)." She said, pulling me up. I hated to admit it, but she was kind of right.
After a while, we finally managed to get onto the carousel and boy did it not disappoint. I was already happy on the thing but seeing my little Petal having the time of her life just made my heart race and day even better. After getting off though, I was kind of dizzy.
"C'mon, let's go to the Ferris wheel!" She exclaimed, trying to zoom there with her semblance, but stopping because I was fad taller than her, and it wouldn't work. I just let out what must have been the hundredth chuckle today and followed her.
"Look! There's mom and Uncle Qrow!" She exclaimed, loud enough to get their attention.
"Petal, I'm tired. Can we just rest a bit?" I suggested.
