You strummed the strings of your guitar on the rooftop of Midtown with a familiar brunette boy sitting next to you with his head buried in his Chemistry textbook. Unknowing to you, however, Peter had stopped doing his Chemistry homework a few minutes earlier and had been staring at you in awe as you played different chords.

After a few more strums you sighed and placed your guitar down gently on the other side of you. You leaned back on your hands and smiled as you let the April sun embrace your skin. Peter observed how the sun lightened up your hair and brought out the natural colors which were usually kept hidden and how your eyes sparkled and showed their most beautiful state.

You could feel Peter's eyes on you so you turned your head towards him and smiled.

"Like what you see, Parker?"

Peter's eyes widened and he shook his head as an attempt to get out of his thoughts.

"N-no," He spoke. His eyes widened again and he scrunched up his face. "I mean, y-yes, I do like what I see I just meant that's not what I was doing, I was actually just-"

You cut off Peter's little rant with a laugh and shook you head. Peter didn't say it to you, but in that moment of seeing you laugh at something he said under the sun he'd felt his heart soar up to outer space and back.

"I'm messing with you," You started. "You finished Chemistry already?"

He smiled and nodded as he looked at the textbook text to him.

"Yeah it was just a bunch of questions about half lives. Pretty easy stuff."

You furrowed your eyebrows and gave him a weird look.

"What the hell is a half life?" You asked. Peter showed you the page in the textbook and your eyes widened slightly.

"There's math involved? I'm already over it."

Peter rolled his eyes at you with a smile and closed the textbook.

"We go to a science and technology school, Y/N. I'm pretty sure they'll try to bring math into English sometime before we graduate."

"That'll be the day I transfer out of here."

Peter chuckled and laid on his back to stare at the sky. You did the same and the two of you would occasionally get caught sneaking glances at the other as time passed. Your hands both slowly made their way to each other and Peter made the move and intertwined his fingers with yours. You smiled to yourself and tightened the grip your fingers had with his.

"Peter, stay with me, please!"

Peter came back into consciousness for what you recognized as the fifth time in the past fifteen minutes.

After he'd passed out you pulled him into your bed and examined his wounds. You had noticed his face first, which was covered in bruises and had a deep cut above his eyebrow. Your eyes had then made their way down to the rest of his body and you had noticed the long open wound that went from his rib cage to his belly button. It was bleeding rapidly and you needed a way to close it up.

Before Peter had come back into consciousness you had placed his torso under a pillow to elevate the wound. You had a towel on his wound and were gently applying pressure to it, however, the bleeding wasn't stopping and was quickly soaking up into the towel.

Peter screamed in pain and continued try and move around but you held his shoulder down as much as you could to prevent any further injuries.

"Peter, please, I can't help you if you keep moving around!"
