"Wanna go get some food?" Calum asked as we walked along the beach. His hand was lazily wrapped around mine as he swung them back and forth with every step we took.
"Sounds good." I nodded.
"Cool. I left my wallet in the hotel room, give me a second to grab it." he pecked me on the lips, then began jogging up the beach and toward the hotel. I laughed lightly at him and kicked at the sand under my feet.
The beach was so beautiful; with the rocks and the sun set. The waves were crashing, but they weren't too loud or forceful.
"It's gorgeous out here." a voice behind me spoke. I spun around subconsciously and smiled at the guy who had spoken.
"Yeah, it is, isn't it?" I grinned.
"Whoa, nice accent. I thought you were from around here - being how tan you are and all." the guy nodded as he looked at me up and down. I chose to ignore that.
"Thanks but no, I'm not from here." I shook my head.
"Where are you from, then?"
"Sydney, Australia." I answered. He smirked and nodded his head approvingly.
"Nice. I've always wanted to get out of LA, I'll have to come check out Sydney sometime." he chuckled.
The guy actually was attractive with his dark hair quiffed up and his tan chest exposed. He just wasn't any Calum. But he was decent, he wasn't hitting on me or anything. Just talking and being friendly. Guys in America have proven themselves to be way better than the guys in Australia.
"It's beautiful. But nowhere near as beautiful as here, damn. I almost don't wanna go home." I laughed with ease.
"Well, LA would love to have you." he smiled.
"I'm Jade." I held out my hand for him to shake.
"Travis." he smiled and took my hand.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled. He laughed lightly and shoved his hands in his pockets.
"You too. Look, if you aren't doing anything, maybe we could grab a bite - if you're hungry." he scratched the back of his neck nervously. As much as I enjoyed Travis's company and didn't want to quit talking to him, I wasn't about to leave Calum stranded.
"Actually, I'm waiting-"
"Jade." Calum's voice was not at all friendly, and I immediately knew I was in trouble. Frowning, I turned around to face my pissed-off-looking boyfriend.
"Hi Cal, I was just talking to-"
"Yeah I can see. Cmon, we're leaving." Calum rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand forcefully, almost as if I didn't follow him he would drag me.
"Calum, you're being a bit of a dick. Just chill, the foods not going anywhere." I pressed and yanked out of his grasp. "Cal, this is Travis. Travis, this is my boyfriend, Calum."
"Ah, boyfriend. Nice to meet you bro." Travis held out his hand offering Calum to shake, which he didn't.
"Hi." Calum mumbled bitterly.
"Calum." I hissed under my breath. He glared at me and rolled his eyes.
"Let's go, Jade. We're leaving." Calum took my hand again and yanked me away.
"Bye Travis, it was nice to meet you. And I apologize for him!" I called to a confused Travis as Calum dragged me away.
"Stop talking to him." Calum glared in attempt to shut me up.
