Being around people for too long can definitely be draining to some.

To these people, they can find joy in being around friends or family but at the same time, they need their own alone time to fully recharge into their social perimeters.

That doesn't necessarily mean that they want to be alone in an enclosed space at all times, per se.

You can be alone in public spaces while enjoying your own solo company while also being able to recharge yourself.

Not everyone needs the constant reassurance of always being with someone in public. Being alone isn't a bad thing. It can actually be really nice and calming to really get a chance alone with yourself.

Now, of course, not everyone may think like this. To some people, they may just absolutely thrive off of being around people. And that's perfectly okay!

People are different. And that's amazing! There's no need to be like every other individual you meet in life- that's why they're called individuals.

Because they are the only version of that person! There is no one exactly like them in the rest of the world.

You may be similar, but never exact.

For Minyeon, she was definitely one of those people who really just thrived off of spending some time alone to really get her social battery charging again.

There were days where all she wanted to do was be with friends and have fun and there were other days where she only wanted to lay in her bed and scroll through her phone or read a book, even.

But on this particular day, she had told herself that her alone time would be spent at the movie theater where she could really just get some time to herself and enjoy a nice movie.

She stood outside the theater, her hands stuffed in her jacket pockets as she waited patiently in line to get a movie ticket.

The older man in front of her finally moved, allowing her to come face to face with the person inside the booth.

"How can I help you today?"

"Can I get one ticket to Ron's Gone Wrong please?"

The dark-haired teenager in the booth nodded, not seeming to be too interested in their line of work. "Have a great time."

Minyeon gave a quick smile and bow before walking inside to get herself some popcorn and a soda.

The lines weren't too long to begin with. It was a random Tuesday and most parents and teenagers could find themselves stuck at work or summer school.

It was a bit chilly inside the building but that was expected. When the twins were younger, their mother would always insist on them bringing jackets for some extra warmth because they got cold so easily.

After years of teaching, Minyeon could confidently say that she always remembered to grab her jacket before leaving the house for the cinema.

Minyeon found herself walking to the shortest of the three lines and waited patiently for her turn to order.

When the time finally came, she told the worker what she wanted and they were able to get it to her quickly.

The day was looking bright as she turned around with her popcorn and drink, ready to enjoy a nice movie to herself.

But of course, the universe couldn't let her off that easily could it?

Her smile faltered as she caught glimpse of the familiar boy standing with his body facing hers.

"Hey, Minyeon! What are you doing here?"

The older girl smiled at her friends, "hey, Ji. I was just coming to see one of the new movies. What are you guys seeing?"

Chenle looked down at the ticket Jisung had given him when they walked inside, his eyes squinting as he looked down to read the small print.

"Ron's Gone Wrong is the movie we came to see today."

Minyeon nodded, "oh, nice. That's the one I'm seeing too. What seats are you guys-" Her voice was cut off by an all too familiar one.

"Minyeon!"

Her jaw clenched as she turned around, looking her brother dead in the eyes. "Jaemin, you said you were staying home today."

Jaemin smiled nonchalantly and shrugged. "Mark and Jeno wanted to come to see a movie and asked me to join. I couldn't just turn them down, could I?"

Minyeon sighed, letting a small smile form on her lips. "I suppose not. What movie are you three seeing?"

"We're seeing Ron's Gone- Renjun!"

Minyeon felt her stomach flip at the name. She looked in the direction of where Jaemin had raised his voice and made eye contact with the brown-haired boy.

She was really beginning to debate if she wanted to see the movie when another name was called and her legs almost collapsed.

"Haechan!"

I really can't catch a break today, huh? What have I done? I swear I've been on my best behavior recently, really! Is this what I'm getting in retur-

"Looks like all of us came to see the same thing," Mark smiled, looking at Donghyuck's ticket.

"Wow, we didn't even plan for this to happen. How weird is that?"

Really weird.

Renjun looked down at his watch, reading the time with swiftness. "Movies gonna start soon. We should probably head in there now."

The entire group nodded and began their way over to the theater entrance where another staff member would check their tickets before telling them what room to enter.

It didn't take long for each of them to get through and find themselves in the nearly empty theater.

"I expected there to be other people here, honestly," Jeno shrugged.

"Well considering it's an English movie, I expected a turnout similar to this. But it just means that we have the entire theatre to ourselves," Donghyuck cheered.

The others followed along with him, ready to have the place to themselves.

There were eight of them so four went in one row while the other four sat in the row above them.

Somehow, Minyeon found herself stuck between Donghyuck and Renjun. And there was no way she was gonna be able to get herself out of the problem.
