A/N: In this oneshot Alec did not go to Forks for the big battle. He stayed behind in Volterra to look after....things. I repeat, Alec did not go to Forks. Everyone please enjoy this little entry!

With a heavy sigh, Aro surveyed the throne room. Stuck to the walls were the finger paintings and coloring pages of none other then one of the few people that held Aro's heart. Across the floor laid trails of glitter, mostly gold and purple, and a Disney Princess rug covering the manhole cover in the center of the room.

"I blame you," Caius growled from across the way, his eyes narrowing on Aro, "just look at my throne!"

Aro had not had his attention diverted from the glittery floors and walls. With his lips pursed in a thin line and his eyes closed, Aro slowly turned to the thrones. He opened his eyes to witness the catastrophe of ribbons, bows, and of course more glitter adorning the thrones.

"We should have never gone to Forks!" Caius roared at his brother as he removed the ribbons from his throne, "This always happens when we're gone!"

Aro opened his mouth to retort, to say that this event never happens since.....well....they never leave the castle. The throne room doors opened revealing a small child, her dark hair fasted in a half up half down hairstyle, her little golden Belle inspired dress swishing with ever step she took. She held another painting in her messy hands. Behind her stood Alec with stickers, one a rainbow and the other a flower, on his cheeks and one pristine white bow holding his bangs upright revealing his face.

The small girl dropped her painting, her attention on the man who stood in the middle of the throne room. Her father, Aro.

"Daddy!" The little girl cheered, delighted to see her father once more. She ran forward, her little arms swinging at her sides.

Aro smiled as he scooped his daughter into his arms, hugging her as if he hadn't seen her in centuries. "Hummingbird," The king breathed as his daughter hugged his neck with all the strength she had in her little body.

Caius coughed as he tapped his foot, expecting more than just a warm welcome home from the cause of the mess that would need to be clean.

Aro sighed and put his daughter back on the floor. He stood, his hands on his hips as he peered down at his daughters smiling face.

"Carabelle," Aro stated sternly as his heart shattered watching the joyful smile leave his daughters face.

Carabelle always feared when her father used her first name. It was always a sign that she had done something wrong, seeing that Aro always called her 'Hummingbird'.

"Yes daddy?" Carabelle answered.

Aro gestured to the room and Alec. "Care to explain what you did?"

Carabelle looked around at her handiwork. "I made it pretty."

Aro pinches the bridge of his nose. How could he explain that his little princess did not make the room pretty? That she in fact made a mess that would take a long time to clean.

After a moment of deliberation, Aro readied his words and picked out a punishment that would fit the crime. Aro's eyes narrowed onto his daughters trembling form, her hands folded behind her to protect her bottom from her spanking.

Only Aro's words never came, nor did the punishment, for in that moment a hearty laugh filled the room. All attention was directed at the door where stood an amused Marcus stood. His film covered eyes surveyed the area, his laughter unable to be contained.

"Brother?" Aro asked, bewildered at Marcus's reaction, "Have you gone mad?"

Marcus shook his head. "No," the king informed scooping Carabelle into his arms, "just amused by such a sight."

Carabelle hugged her uncle. "Is it pretty?"

Marcus chuckled. "Extremely, perhaps I should let you redecorate my office?" He mused earning a vigorous nod from the child.

Together, they strolled away, Marcus asking what supplies she would need to make his room as colorful as the throne room.

Aro stood frozen for a moment before his attention turned to Alec. "You can remove the bow now my son."

Alec shook his head. "I like my bow," Alec defended, "I think it makes me look pretty."

Aro sighed. "It's only eleven and yet my patience has already reached its end," Caius growled storming out of the throne room, "If needed I'll be in my study."

"Clean up this mess," Aro ordered as he left the room, unaware that the bottom of his cloak was now covered in glitter, leaving a sparkling trail behind him.
