Chapter 37 - Make yourself at home

Start from the beginning

Clay, still tired from flying in a couple days ago, fell asleep on your shoulder for the train ride back to Brighton, and only woke up when it came to a halting stop. You smiled at him and the three of you got up.

The Twitter post, only posted a bit more than an hour before, had gone all around the internet. Some believed it was fake, some posted pictures in the place we'd just been at, and some were just going absolutely bonkers.

But Clay was absolutely calm about it. He was acting like it didn't even happen, while you were bursting on the inside. How were you supposed to act, when not only was his face shown to the entire internet, but also yours? You weren't mad about being posted, but just curious how he was so chill about it. And how everyone was going to react...

Your Twitter, of course, blew up quite a bit. You'd always been reasonably anonymous, and went to private your account before too many people had clicked on it. But you'd already gained thousands.

"Am I famous now?" You asked.

"You are." Your brother nodded in the Uber back to your house. "I mean, you are dating Dream."

"Oh God...I just realized. I'm dating a gamer. A YouTuber. Oh no...a Minecrafter..." You laughed. "I'm ruined."

Clay bumped you with his arm. "Oh, shut up."

The Uber came to a stop at yours and George's house. The sun was down by now, and it was pretty late. All you wanted to do after a long day of walking around was sleep, so you dragged Clay up the stairs, leaving George in the dust, past your parents, said good night to them of course, and into your bedroom.

You fell onto your bed, still pulling him along with you. He would've just about crushed you if he hadn't caught himself on his elbows. He smiled and nuzzled his nose into yours. You couldn't stop the elated reaction of how fantastic it felt to be around him again. The weeks you hadn't seen him were hard, but it was okay...because it led to that moment.

You went to sleep that night, completely cuddled into Clay's side, utterly comfortable.

When you woke up the next day, he was already up. You just stared at each other for a while, and it was nice. One of the best mornings you'd had in a very long time.

He took a deep breath, a sigh of comfort, and kissed the tip of your nose in a soft affectionate action. You smiled back at him.

There was a knock at the door; you believed the front door, but you were much too distracted by looking into Clay's eyes, cheesy as it was. You definitely didn't bother getting up.

There was some distant speaking in the background, quite loud, you might add, which made you sit up in the bed after you and Clay had distangled your limbs from one another.

You put on day clothes after you couldn't stand not knowing what was going on out there, and opened the door that separated you and Clay from the outside world.

You gasped in surprise...two surprises, in just a couple days.

"You're joking. You have to be kidding me." You said.

"My favorite NotFound sibling!" Nick shouted.

You met him halfway through the room with a big hug, and he spun you around in a circle. Nick, through all of his teasing and games, was probably one of your best friends. You couldn't have gotten through that trip to Florida without him.

"You're joking." You said.

"No I'm N-"

You pulled away and smacked his arm. "Don't you dare finish that," you laughed. "Clay did the same damn thing when I saw him."

He smiled at you, and you realized that George and Clay were standing next to each other, sharing some sort of joke together.

"Why are you here?" You asked.

"Well, first of all, I missed my favorite NotFound sibling, as I said." Nick said, and you both laughed as the other NotFound sibling whined about it. "Also, you guys were having way too much fun without me. Thanks for including me in the face reveal, too!" He deadpanned.

Your brother grimaced. "It was just...the right timing."

Nick rolled his eyes. "Okay, sure. Sure. Whatever. I'm not mad about it."

"Sorry, Sap," your brother said.

"I moved forward EIGHT HOURS. I left Texas yesterday afternoon! I don't deserve this!"

Clay walked up to you and put his arm around your back. He pulled you into his side.

"What do we do now?" Clay asked. "Back together, all of us, for the first time in a month. What do we do?"

George flopped onto the couch behind you all. "Well, make yourself at home."
