So This is Topside

Start from the beginning

The girl finished her breakfast and set the tray aside, then turned herself to face the gorgeous woman next to her. "Vi, listen," she started, "I know that being from the Undercity is important to you, its a part of who you are, and nobody can take that away. Getting some new clothes doesn't erase where you came from, it doesn't steal from who you are or the life you've lived. We're just getting some clothes, okay?" she slowly ran her finger down Vi's cheek, looking at her with love. Vi matched her gaze.

"Alright Cupcake, just don't turn me into some preppy Topsider," Vi said with a smile. She played it off as a joke but Caitlyn knew there was truth in it.

A few hours later, after they had spent some of the morning relaxing and getting ready for the day, the couple found themselves walking the streets of Piltover. It wasn't terribly busy, being the late morning on a weekday, which was nice for them both. They wouldn't have to navigate the intense busyness that the city could sometimes offer. They walked through the doors of a store to see a mass of clothes, hangers covering the walls and racks making aisles along the floor. Fortunately, this was no ridiculous high-end shop. Caitlyn knew, even after their morning, Vi wouldn't be getting herself into anything too spiffy. She felt this place was just the right level of fashion for her beautiful Muffin.

Vi wandered around the place, looking at varying different garments all over the establishment. She would never admit it but she was trying to find essentially what she was already wearing, just new. She shuffled through the racks, looking at different tops and bottoms, and a few things caught her eye. There were some pants that were similar to hers in all black, another pair that was a bit slimmer and missing a pocket or two but still nice. She took them off the rack and draped them over her arm, then moved herself over to the top section.

Caitlyn smiled. She was sure that she'd have to try and convince Vi of... something. But she didn't. Vi was making her way around the shop like she did it every day, even picking out things without suggestion. So Caitlyn just kept herself beside her and let the Bottomsider shop to her heart's content.

Vi found a few tops she liked of varying styles. A few short sleeved ones, a baggy long sleeve, it was a healthy mix. The two of them found a store attendant to direct them to the changing rooms, for which he lead them around a corner at the back of the store. They were somewhat separated from the rest of the shop, having to go through a doorway and around a corner to find them, and once there they weren't just lousy, stall-like rooms. They had walls that went floor to ceiling and doors that covered the full doorway. Vi went into the first one she saw and Caitlyn waited on a nearby bench.

Vi hung the hangers on the hooks in the changing room and took off her shirt, looking at the clothes she was about to buy. She put on a baggy long sleeve first, it was black with a blue outline of a gear on the front of it. It was simple, it looked nice, she liked it. So she stepped out of the room to show Caitlyn.

"Oh that's lovely! It suits you," she said after Vi revealed herself. It made her happy to see that Vi was enjoying herself in the Overcity; and that she had a sense of fashion. This procedure continued for the rest of the clothes Vi picked out, trying them on and showing them to Cait who usually liked the selection. When Vi was done trying on the new clothes and was preparing to put her original top back on, and idea came to her. She cracked the door and poked her head out, whispering to Caitlyn.

"Hey, Cupcake, can you help me out with something in here?" she asked. Caitlyn stood up and made her way to the room, expecting Vi to have gotten stuck in her clothes somehow. She walked into the room and Vi locked the door behind her, pushed her lightly against the wall, and kissed her. Caitlyn was surprised, she hadn't expected that and Vi was still naked from the waist up. She didn't know what to say, if anything, so she just played along and kissed Vi back.

No matter how many times she saw them, Caitlyn was always impressed by Vi's muscles. And Vi loved to prove they weren't just for show when she pinned Caitlyn to a wall. That alone made her knees weak, and it certainly wasn't all that Vi had to offer. Vi finally pulled away from Caitlyn, who was still mildly shocked by it all, and put the rest of her clothes back on.

"Is that all you asked me in here for?" Caitlyn said with haste and confusion.

"Just wanted to give you a preview for later, that's all," Vi responded smugly, tapping Cait's nose with her finger. She collected all her clothes and unlocked the door, exiting the room as Caitlyn stayed on the wall Vi had pushed her against, stunned.

Vi turned around after a few steps, realizing Caitlyn wasn't following. So she went back into the room, kissed Caitlyn one more time, grabbed her hand, and led her to the cashier with a very smug smile. Cait wasn't as amused, but she was definitely thinking of what Vi had previewed.

After they had paid for their things and had gone back to the streets of Piltover, they had started to think about lunch. Vi had, anyway, Caitlyn's mind was still stuck on what 'later' would bring. They walked hand in hand looking for a good restaurant to stop at for lunch, trying to find one that wasn't overly fancy but also wasn't some kind of street meat. They finally found a nice middling diner and sat down in a booth, looking through the menu as a waitress took their drink orders.

"You're gonna have to help me out here, I don't know what any of this stuff is," Vi told Caitlyn with a mix of urgency and frustration. Caitlyn looked over the menu, thinking of what Vi might like up here. After a few moments Caitlyn pointed to Vi's menu and told her what to order, stating that's something she'd probably enjoy. The waitress made her way back to their table with their drinks and took the two girls' orders. Vi was excited to try the new food, but also rather unsure of what she was actually trying.

A few moments later, Caitlyn spotted a special type of store out the window of the diner. She looked at the store, then at Vi, then over to the hole the kitchen was behind.

"You alright, Cait? You look nervous," Vi asked with concern. She hadn't seen her girlfriend so jittery before. Caitlyn looked back at Vi and stood up from the booth

"I'll be right back, I just have to run across the street a second. I'll be quick," She said quickly. She gave Vi a peck on the cheek before hustling out the door and across the street into the shop she had seen. Vi was confused. Caitlyn seemed generally fine, but where would she be going that was so urgent it had to be before their food had arrived? She sat in the booth and took a deep breath. Cait said she'd be quick, so Vi would wait until it didn't feel like just a short endeavour anymore. She'd wait until their food arrived, that'd be her limit.

But sure enough, after only a few minutes, Caitlyn returned to the booth with a plain black bag in her hand. "Sorry about that. There was a shop over there that really caught my eye, I had to go take a look," she said to Vi. The fighter was curious, but shrugged it off as at that moment their food arrived. They enjoyed a lunch together, laughing and flirting, telling stories that enriched their lives. And Caitlyn was right, Vi did enjoy her food.

After they had finished their lunch and there was no more shopping to do the pair started to make their way back home. They couldn't believe the morning they had, Vi hadn't had this much fun since she was young, and even then it was a hard comparison. There were times on their walk that Caitlyn just trusted Vi could lead her for a few seconds while she gazed at her beauty. They had both never known a person as incredible as the one they were holding hands with.

When they got home the day was still young, so Caitlyn taught Vi how to make cupcakes. She was prepared for all the bad jokes and cheesy surprises that would come with it, such things made her smile and warmed her heart. The two of them put on aprons and made a bit of a mess of the kitchen, but in the end they wound up with a fresh batch of cupcakes that Vi would tease Caitlyn with until the end of time. Cait suggested they make muffins next, to 'balance things out' as Vi had phrased it, which caused both of them to burst with laughter. It was a day they would both cherish.

After they had cleaned up the kitchen, had dinner, and tried their cupcakes as dessert, they went back up to Caitlyn's room to settle down for the evening. Vi sat down on the bed, admiring her Cupcake in her mind, while Cait went elsewhere to change into what Vi assumed was some kind of evening wear. The enforcer came back into the room in her robe and stood at the end of their bed, grabbing Vi's attention

"So," Caitlyn said as she dropped her robe, revealing her to be dressed in a scandalous set of black lingerie, "about that preview."
