Chapter Five: Eddie learns about a new culture

                                    

                                          
"Holy shit! I can't believe you saved Hanvema," Quill said to Eddie, as he put away his guns. 
                          
The party had followed the smugglers to a small outer planet. Once upon the surface they engaged in battle. Hanvema had been fighting one of the smugglers when she was pushed off the edge of a cliff. Eddie and Venom had caught her before she hit the ground. Then they killed the smuggler by biting off his head. 
                          
"Dude and that thing that you have inside you, what is it called...a Symbiote? Fucking awesome!" Quill continued. 
                          
"That's right, Eddie. We are awesome!" Venom said happily.  
                          
"Yeah, well, it was really nothing," Eddie tried to say humbly. 
                          
"I think you surprised her. Maybe you'll score some points, huh?" Quill said with a wink. 
                          
Eddie shrugged his shoulders, but he secretly hoped that he would. He hadn't spoken to her since they got back on the ship. Her and Gamora had been preparing the items they recovered for safe storage. 
                          
"Well, I'm impressed." Gamora said as she placed an item into a steel, pressurized box. 
                          
Hanvema looked up at her, "By what?"
                          
"Eddie, he saved you, remember?" 
                          
"Yes, I'm glad his training has been worthwhile," she said, calmly putting another item in a box. 
                          
"I see. So you've made up your mind," Gamora said, placing the boxes into a storage cell in the ship. 
                          
"Made up my mind?" Hanvema said, confused. 
                          
"You aren't going to sleep with him," Gamora said.
                          
"I...I never said that..." Havema said, crossing her arms. 
                          
Gamora closed the storage cell's lid and locked it. 
                          
"What exactly are you waiting for again? You like him and he clearly has proven that he can function outside of Terra."
                          
The Guardians made their return to the Avenger's ship. Hanvema and Eddie disembarked after saying their farewells. Once on board they made their way back to the ship's main quarters where Carol, Bruce and Nebula were working.
                          
Carol glanced up as the door wooshed open. 
                          
"How'd everything go?" She asked. 
                          
"It went well. We recovered eight artifacts, the Guardians will ensure they are taken to a secure location," Hanvema confirmed. 
                          
"That's great news," Bruce said with a smile. "You know we're all going to go off ship for a bite to eat, you want to join us?"
                          
"Sure..." Eddie started to say, but Hanvema cut him off. 
                          
"Actually, Eddie has more training to do. You can go on without us," she said. 
                          
Carol, Bruce and Nebula departed the ship, informing Hanvema and Eddie they would be gone for a few hours. Once they were alone, Eddie turned to Hanvema. 
                          
"Oh, come on, Hanvema. Can't we train later?" he began to complain. 
                          
"Hush, follow me," she said.
                          
She began to walk with purpose out of the room and down the corridor. Eddie caught up with her and noticed they were walking back to the sleeping quarters. Hanvema paused to enter a code in front of her room and entered as the door snapped open.  
                          
Eddie halted at the threshold. Hanvema turned around when she noticed he hadn't followed her inside. 
                          
"Well? Come in," she said.
