It felt like another life since Chloe saw her bedroom again. It took two weeks to detoxify the effect, with long hours of physical and mental therapies, and Doctor Arroway was with her at every step.

"Mom, did you keep my costume?" Chloe turned to her mother. "The one I wore in my first National?"

"I kept all your costume, Honey." Christi smiled over her baby.

"Can I see it? I want to see it."

"Why would you want to do that?"

Christi has stocked that costume away the day they returned from the competition, the memory for her daughter was too hard to bear.

"Please, Mom. I need to see it."

"Okay, baby."

Christi went to the dressing room where she kept every piece of her daughter's dance costumes, found it at the very end, brought it back to her daughter's room. Chloe stared at the golden dress for a long time, her mind full of thoughts.

"It was your first National. I know how hard it was for you. I almost throw it away." Christi tried to comfort her.

"It's good you kept it, Mom." Chloe put out a smile. "It was a failure, but it reminds me that I can do better."
