"So Bailey and Brandon? Who would've thought?"Wesley chuckled.

"Yeah...I mean I hope it goes well for them. Wait did you just say Bailey?"I asked.

"We know her name. We just tease her. She's easy to work up"He chuckled.

"I see"I hummed.

"It seems kinda fast though doesn't it?"I asked.

"Not really they've known each other since freshman year. You've only known each other for roughly a month whereas they've known eacother got years."

"I never thought of it that way"I stated. "I wonder when they realized they liked each other."

"I'm sure Brand will tell me."

"Bailey will probably tell me too"I said. They were once cold towards each other and are now seeing each other. I wanna know what changed and if possible for them then would it be for me?

"Alright one Golden tray and one silver tray and another order of ika karage"The waitress smiled sitting the platters down.

"Thank you"I said as Wes nodded and began to dig in.

"Let me know if you need anything"She said before walking away.

I picked up a piece of the volcano roll and shoved it in my mouth. I was hungry and Wesley seemed to be as well. We both had a small platter of appetizers beforehand but by the time our sushi was made we were hungry again.

"This is amazing"I praised.

"Yes I agree"He nodded stabbing some sashimi.

"Do you not know how to use chopsticks?"

"No not really."

"For a man of many talents, and a man who also loves sushi, I assumed you would know"I laughed.

"My talents are vast but they're also limited"He grumbled.

"Awe beaten by a set of chopsticks. Look it's easy"I said clicking mine together then picking up a sushi roll and eating it with ease.

"Show off"He muttered as I laughed.

"I can teach you. After all the big bad future business tycoon just might want to know how to use chopsticks for future reference."

"Okay"He said. I instructed him to copy the hold I had on mine. He dropped one stick on his plate then picked it up and tried to balance it once again. He struggled as I held back a laugh. I held his hand steadily and placed the chopsticks in position.

"Now just hold them. Pick up a piece of sashimi. You can do it"I said. He struggled but successfully placed it in his mouth. "Room for improvement but that was great!"

"We look out of place"Wesley chuckled.

"I think I'll have to cross this off my bucket list. Eating sushi in a designer dress check"I stated.

"You have a bucket list?"He asked.

"No but if I did that'd be on it"I shrugged.

  "Yeah and what else?"

"Travel, become someone who would make my father proud, try new things, meet new people, oh and have my own place. What about you?"

  "Oh I have one."

  "You have a bucket list?"

"Of course! Most of them are crossed off now. What's left is sky diving, meet Adam Sandler, spend a month in the Czech Republic, and take over my fathers business."

"That's a kind of random list"I chuckled. "I'm scared to know what the rest is."

"Bucket lists are usually random"He stated.

"True"I hummed and continued to eat.  After we ate Wesley paid and drove me to his house. He was spending the night at Eric's and since his house was on the way to mind he wanted to change and grab some clothes.

I got out and followed him.

"My parents are probably still at the event. We have the house all to ourselves"He teased poking my sides. I rolled my eyes and pushed him away. I walked into the kitchen as Wesley ran upstairs.

The stove light illuminated the kitchen. I went to the sink and was about to grab a glass when the light turned on. I jumped in freight. I turned around to confront Wes.

"Wesl- Alec? What are you doing here?"I asked, my tone holding a mix of fear and excitement.

He crossed his arms with a cocky smile.

"I have great taste"He said. I blushed and he twirled his finger signaling me to twirl. I entertained him and did so.

"Definitely your color. As for why I'm here I just arrived. I have a birthday to attend Saturday. Turns out I'm free tomorrow so I came early."

He walked to me as he spoke.

"A birthday?"I asked with a jocular tone. "For who?"

"Just a girl I know...blonde hair, blue eyes, short. You may know her."

"Hmm...sounds like a lot of girls I go to school with"I stated.

"Yeah this one's different though. She's annoying, stubborn as hell, jumpy. Has the appetite of a five year old. Sometimes the mentality"He said twirling me around. "Sound familiar."

"No"I glared up at him. He ruffled my hair.

"She's also cute when she's upset."

"Don't make rude comments then try to call me cute."

"Who said I was talking about you"He teased. I giggled and hugged him.

  "Thank you for the dress."

"Of course"He said patting the top of my head.

"What are you doing tomorrow?"I asked.

  "Not sure yet. Why?"

"Okay I had to run back up and grab my back pack but I'm ready!"Wesley said. I quickly pulled away from Alec like I was doing something wrong. Wes walked into the kitchen with his duffle and school bag. He was now in joggers and a black tee. A contrast from his earlier suit.

"Wes why don't you head out. I can take Emma home."

"Are you sure?"Wesley asked. His attention was directed at Alec but it seemed like his words were to me.

  "Yeah"Alec said.

"It's okay Wes. Go ahead I'll see you Saturday"I smiled.

"Okay. Later"Wes waved briskly before leaving. I went back to getting water and Alec leaned against the counter watching me.

"What was that?"Alec asked. I took a sip of the water.

  "What was what?"

"Wesley steps into the room and suddenly I'm the plague"He said.

   "It's not like that-"

  "Do you like him?"

   "I...he's not the one I want"I blushed.

"Are you sure?"He asked. He leaned down his face inches from mine.

"Yes"I said as my heart started pounding. My whole body felt hot and a knot of nervousness shot through my stomach.

Standing face to face with him I realized who I truly wanted. Wes was a great friend but I saw him differently than I saw Alec. I wanted Alec. I'd only known him for a month, and even though he was rude nine times out of ten, I caught feelings for him.

He straightened his posture then turned and walked away from me.

"Too bad he'd be the better choice."

His words left me stunned in my place.
