Jordan POV
"Where's Boo?" I whisper shouted.
Everyone began to look around frantically. Emphasis on frantic.
"Hellooooo? Come out come out wherever you are!" An unknown voice shouted, "I believe we have someone that you may want back, after all, she's only a kid. Wouldn't it be a shame if she was raped before having her brains blown out?"
A whimper could be heard.
Using the car's broken mirror, I could barely see the situation. The man was in his late 30's, with a scruffy beard, and was holding up Boo by the hair with a pistol by her head. Around him were about five others, chuckling madly.
"I'm going out there," Sonja said.
"What! That's suicide!" Tucker yelled.
Sonja looked over to me.
"Go. Just like old times?" I asked.
She grinned, "Let's do this."
Now Tucker was the one letting out a scared whimper.
Sonja stepped out from behind our hiding place, hands raised, but you could see the pistol in her back pocket.
"Drop the pistol." The man commanded.
Slowly, she complied. Simultaneously I slowly moved to the edge of the clearing, into tree cover. Moving stealthily, I eventually made it behind them.
"You know, I never said I would let the child go. Now you are just going to share her fate! Grab her!" He yelled.
The next part happened in what felt like slow motion. Three of the men lunged at her, but she easily grabbed the pistol from the ground, shooting one at nearly point-blank range, before hitting the next with the handle of the pistol. The third managed to grab her arm, but she merely put the pistol to his head and pulled the trigger, bodily fluids splattering over her shirt and face.
Meanwhile, I quickly dispatched the two remains "guards", before turning my attention to the apparent leader, who had spotted Erin behind the car. He raised his pistol and pulled the trigger, once, twice, three times, before I could react.
"Mommy!" I heard Boo cry out.
Not bothering to use a bullet, I struck out at him with a knife, hitting an artery in his neck. He fell to the ground without a word.
