Nursery (Quicketh)

                                    

                                          
"Quinny, I want you to come home with me. I can turn the guest room into a nursery." Judy said.
                          
Quinn didn't say anything. Her eyes just scanned the room until they locked on Puck, who was looking at her.
                          
"Oh, sweetie, say something." Judy requested.
                          
"My water just broke." Quinn replied softly, putting her hand on her belly.
                          
Puck had been keeping an eye on Quinn with her mom. The second he saw her hand go to her belly, he got up and walked over to her.
                          
"My water just broke." Quinn repeated as she looked at Puck, completely frozen.
                          
"Okay." Puck nodded, calmly holding Quinn's hand and putting his other hand on her back. "Let's go."
                          
Quinn nodded back as Puck guided her to the bus. All of the glee kids, except for Rachel, got on the bus with Mr. Schue and Quinn's mom.

After what felt like endless screaming and pain, Quinn finally relaxed on the bed as they placed a clean baby girl in her arms.
                          
Quinn smiled as she looked at the baby, already picking out the Puckerman features and the Fabray features.
                          
"I'm gonna go tell everyone she's here." Puck decided.
                          
"Stay." Quinn requested, looking at Puck. "Please."
                          
Puck nodded slowly and moved closer to get a better look at the baby.
                          
"I'll go tell them." Mercedes excused herself.
                          
"You did great, sweetie." Judy added as she left the room.
                          
"She looks like you." Puck noted, breaking the silence after a few minutes. "She's beautiful."
                          
Quinn smiled as she looked back at the baby.
                          
Puck put his hand out and the baby held his finger. He smiled. "Hi, Beth."
                          
"Do you wanna hold her?" Quinn asked.
                          
"Sure." Puck nodded, carefully scooping Beth out of Quinn's arms and cradling her in his.
                          
"My mom offered to turn our guest room into a nursery." Quinn noted.
                          
"What did you say?" Puck asked.
                          
"I said my water just broke." Quinn responded.
                          
Puck nodded slowly.
                          
"Do you wanna keep her?" Quinn asked.
                          
"Yes." Puck admitted with a sigh. "Do you?"
                          
"After the sexting and everything that's happened between us, I thought I didn't." Quinn said. "But now that she's actually here..."
                          
Puck looked at Quinn as she trailed off. "If we keep her, I swear I'll break things off with Santana. And I'll be a good dad."
                          
"You're gonna have to learn how to change diapers and do hair." Quinn warned Puck.
                          
"I already know how to do all that stuff." Puck said. "And I can cook."
                          
Quinn nodded slowly.
                          
"I'll be over all the time to help out." Puck swore. "I'm not gonna be like my dad to her or to you."
                          
"Did you love me?" Quinn blurted.
                          
"Yes." Puck responded. "Especially now."

Quinn and Beth got to leave the hospital the next day.
                          
Judy picked them up and drove back to the Fabray house.
                          
When they got there, Judy helped Quinn out of the car before getting Beth.
                          
Quinn took Beth, and the trio slowly headed inside.
                          
"Mom, we need to get her a bassinet and... everything." Quinn noted. "She can't sleep in the baby carrier forever."
                          
"Why don't you go upstairs and try to get some rest?" Judy suggested. "I'll keep an eye on my granddaughter."
                          
Quinn looked at Judy.
                          
"Go upstairs, sweetie." Judy said again.
                          
"I don't wanna miss anything." Quinn replied.
                          
"I'll bring her up in a minute." Judy promised.
                          
"Okay." Quinn sighed. She slowly walked upstairs, taking her time since she was exhausted and sore.
                          
On the way to her bedroom, Quinn had noticed that although the door to the guest room was closed, the light was on. She walked over and opened the door, pausing when she saw Puck.
                          
"Hey." Quinn said, looking at all the baby things in the room.
                          
"Hey." Puck replied as he turned to Quinn. "This was supposed to be a surprise, but this is Beth's nursery. It's almost done."
                          
"You did all of this?" Quinn asked. "When?"
                          
"Overnight." Puck answered proudly. "Come check it out."
                          
"Wow, Puck, this is..." Quinn trailed off in awe. "I can't believe you made time to do this."
                          
"I just wanted to show you that I'm serious about all of this." Puck shrugged. "And besides, she needed this stuff."
                          
"Thank you." Quinn said softly as she hugged Puck.
                          
Puck wrapped his arms around Quinn and smiled. When they parted, he looked at her. He gently cupped her cheeks and kissed her.
