They had been in the river for hours when night started falling, and the best part of that place started being felt in the air.

The river had a very small bay, not bigger than a house, that spread into the ground and created a warm atmosphere no matter how cold it was in the rest of the town. Even if the snow kept falling, it melted into the water, warming up immediately, almost like a miracle.

Of course god had created that, according to his town, but the group did not care about that, they had their clothes finally laying on the ground, only shirts and boxers on, laughing as they entered the water, feeling the warmth surround them under the moonlight.

Felix was trying to tackle Changbin, Chan played with the water with Minho and Jisung, and Seungmin smiled at his friends from the shore, trying not to stare at the boy undressing next to him.

Hyunjin whined as he took his last hoodie out.

"O-oh god how are t-they not cold."

"The water is warm, you've never been here?"

Seungmin looked up with a small smile, and as soon as the boy's eyes met, both frozen for a while.

To Seungmin, Hyunjin was against the moonlight, so he was a simple shadow, but the taller still held that shine in his eyes, and the one sitting on the ground had to get caught up on it.

To Hyunjin, though, Seungmin was staring up with a small smile, his red lips against the pale, white light, his only hoodie falling over his arms, too big for him. His braces showing and his eyes reflecting all the stars above Hyunjin's head.

Holly shit.

"S-sorry, what?"

Seungmin furrowed his eyebrows, realizing how distracted he seemed, but not commenting as he tried to compose himself.

"Have you never been here?"

"O-oh.", the taller cleared his throat, crouching to be at Seungmin's high, not noticing the red shade that covers the younger's cheeks. "No. My parents don't even know I'm here right now. They don't want me to come here."

Seungmin furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why?"

"I have no idea. Never asked. Are you coming in?" Seungmin shook his head. "What? Why?", Hyunjin pouted tilting his head and nearly making the younger squeal.

"I just don't feel like it."

It took Hyunjin 5 minutes to convince him, pulling him by his arm to the water, both of them running and hissing at the cold as they splashed in between their friends, everyone laughing as their shirts got glued to their bodies. Water was thrown, stars were chased, smiles were shared.

That made Seungmin wander when he had became so close to these guys, and at the same time such a foreigner to their friendship.

Chan, who was the last person he thought would ever be his friend or anything like that in that school. Changbin, who seemed like such a bully but turned out to be such a soft boy, maybe too much for his own good. Jisung, who he had meet so long ago but never had the chance to connect to besides their school days. Jeongin, who simply walked around town, smiling at everyone with his good mood and not hearing all the warning about his family. Minho, who had barely talked to him, but was ready to help him out with anything at all.
Even Hyunjin, who seemed to get closer to him each day and way easier than he had thought it would be.
Felix, his best friend in the whole world, and yet not even the boy knew him fully.
