Briars POV
I was sitting on the couch when Marcy walked in. Jack walked out of her room. They both stopped and stared at each other for a minute before they moved on. Jack left for her class and Marcy sat down. "Ok what happened?" I asked. "I'm mad at her for getting drunk" she said. I laughed. "What?" She asked. "Getting drunk? You mean sucking on that dudes face?" I asked. She rolled her eyes. "You could tell her" I said. "Tell her what?" She asked. I stared at her in shock. I huffed a laugh. "You'll figure it out" I said. She stared at me in deep thought for a moment before she turned the TV on and forgot about it. 
I was walking to class when I bumped into someone. "I'm sorry" I said. "Its alright" she said. I looked up to see the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She's my height with long white hair and silver eyes. She giggled. "Why are you staring?" She asked. I snapped out of it. "Sorry" I looked down. Her eyes are impossible not to stare at. "You apologize a lot" she said. "Sorry" I feel like an idiot. She laughed. "Cant you say anything else?" She asked. "I'm Briar" I said. "I'm Ace" she smiled. I suddenly remembered what I was doing. "Shit. I gotta go" I ran to class. I heard her laughing in the distance. 
I never made it to class. I ran down the hallway but ran into Cash. "Cash! Why aren't you in class?" I asked. "Who were you talking too?" She asked. "Why do you care?" I asked. "Who was it?" She asked. "Just a girl that I bumped into" I said. "It better be" she snarled. "Why are you mad?" I asked. "Because I don't want anyone else to have you!" She snapped. I hesitated. "Have me?" I asked. She face palmed herself. "That's not what I meant" she said. "No. I think its exactly what you meant" I said. I turned around and walked away. "Wait!" I heard her, but ignored her. I'm not going to class today. I walked to my car and saw Ace. She's sitting at a bus stop. "Hey! Do you need a ride?" I asked. "Don't you have class?" She asked. I shrugged. "If its not to much trouble" she said. "No I don't mind. Come on" I said. She followed. 
I drove Ace to her dorm. "Bye" she said. I waved. She glanced at me as she walked away. That's when I saw it. Her eyes, they glowed for split second. She isn't human, but I don't think she's a super either. So what is she?
Meanwhile
Jacks POV
"Marcy?" I asked. I slowly opened her door. She's watching a movie. "What?" She asked. "I don't want you to be mad at me" I said. "Its fine Jackie. Don't worry about it" she said. Its not fine. "Why do you call me that?" I asked. "What?" She asked. "Jackie. You're the only person that calls me that" I said. She hesitated. "Could you leave me alone? Jack?" She asked. That hurt. It felt like a stab in my chest. I guess I looked hurt because she sighed and got up. "I don't know why I call you that" she said. I fiddled with my hands. "I'm sorry" I said. "Its ok" she said. I hugged her and she hugged back. Her tail wrapped around the back of my legs. "Could I watch with you?" I asked. She nodded. We sat down on the bed. She turned to her cat form and curled up. "Awww. You're so cute" I cooed. There was a silence. "Thanks" she said. She stood up and curled up on my lap. 
Briars POV
Its the next day. "Hey briar?" Marcy asked. "Hmm?" I hummed. "I think I know what you meant yesterday" she said. I laughed. "You have a crush" I said. She blushed. "Shut up" she huffed. Abby walked out of her room. "What are we doing?" Abby asked. I pointed at Marcy. "Oh are we talking about the obvious sexual tension between her and jack?" Abby asked. I nodded. "Is it really that obvious?" Marcy asked. We nodded and she groaned. 
Abby seems very interested in her phone right now. "Hey, who are you texting?" I asked. "A friend" she said. "Ooooh" I said. She rolled her eyes. "Not like that. We've been friends for a while" she said. "Who is it?" I asked. "Her names Ace" she said. I was taken back. Abby looked over. "Do you know her?" She asked. "I met her yesterday" I said. "Oh so it was you she was talking about" she said. "She talked about me?" I asked. "Yeah. She says you're charming" she said. I smiled. "How long have you known her?" I asked. "Two years" she said. 
My phone buzzed and I checked it. It's from Cash. "Hey I'm sorry" she said. "I bet you are" I replied. "Please forgive me. I'm really sorry. I just really like you" she said. "I can tell" I said. "So do you forgive me?" She asked. "Maybe" I sent. "You're gonna be the death of me" she said. "Good" I said.
I do like Cash but after what she said, I don't know if I should. I want to be with her but Abby and Marcy have warned me about her. Maybe I shouldn't lead her on. I looked at my phone and sighed. Its not leading her on if I really do like her, right? Ryder would know what to do. I should call him. I haven't spoken to any of them since I got here. I miss my moms. "You ok?" Abby asked. I looked at her. "Yeah I'm fine" I smiled. She gave me a weird look and went back to her phone. "Hey Abby? What is Ace?" I asked. "She's human" she said. "Oh ok" I said. There's no way. Human eyes don't glow. Ace lied. She cant be human but if she's not human than what is she?
