Briars POV
I'm headed to my first class right now. Unlike Green Strike academy, this is a real college. GS academy was just a knock off high school that called itself a college. I'm so glad I don't go there. I walked into the class room and found my seat. I sat next to Abby. A crowd of people came in. "What are they crowding over?" I asked. Abby groaned. "Cash" she said. I raised an eyebrow. "Cash Walker. She's was the most popular kid in high school and now she's the show off of college" Abby said. I looked over. Cash is about my height, she has long blonde hair and grey eyes. "Did you go to high school together?" I asked. Abby nodded. "She thinks she's so great but she's not. She's just some human girl. No offense" Abby said. "None taken" I said.I was nearly falling asleep during the lecture when Abby tapped my shoulder. "Hey, Cash is looking at you" Abby said. I looked over. Cash looked away right as I looked at her. "Don't do it" Abby warned. "What?" I asked. "Cash is a player. I'm warning you. Don't fall for Cash. She'll leave you broken in pieces" Abby said. "Did she do that to you?" I raised an eyebrow. She looked down. "Do you still feel for her?" I asked. "God no. Dating her only made me realize that I'm not good with relationships" she said. I looked back over at Cash who was now writing something. "Don't do it" Abby warned again. "I wont" I looked back at Abby.
When class ended Abby was first out the door while I was still grabbing my things. Cash walked up to me and leaned on the table in front of me. "Hey" she said. "Hi" I said. "You're new" she smiled. "I'm Briar" I said. "I'm Cash, but I'm sure you already know that" she leaned closer. "Do you need something, Cash?" I asked standing up. We both walked out the door. "Yeah, here" She handed me a piece of paper with her number on it. I laughed. "Really?" I asked. "Oh come on. Its just a number" she smirked. "Uh huh" I shoved it in my pocket. I walked out to my car. She followed. "You should text me later. We can be friends" she said. She's so full of shit. "Maybe" I got in my car. As I drove off, I let out a long breath. Cash is gonna be really hard to push away. She's insanely hot, she has an attitude that I love, and she obviously wants me. Abby warned me about her but I'm not sure if I can resist. She makes my heart flutter.
I'm laying on my bed. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the paper. I sighed and grabbed my phone. I cant believe I'm doing this. I put her number in my phone but before I could send a message, Jack came into my room. "Ahh! You could knock!" I yelled. She shrugged. "Marcy and I are going to a party if you wanna come" she said. "They're throwing parties already?" I asked. She nodded. "Cash did this last year too" she said. "Sure, Ill go. Is Abby going?" I asked. She shook her head. "Abby's a bookworm. She wont go" Jack said.
We're here. I lost Jack immediately. "I'm gonna go get a drink" Marcy yelled over the music. I nodded and she left. I got myself a drink and found a wall to lean against. I like observing people at parties. Its funny to watch them get drunk and do stupid stuff. I felt someone staring at me and slowly turned my head to see Cash. She approached me. "Didn't think you'd come" she said. "Couldn't help it with you edging me" I said playfully. She smirked. "What are you drinking?" She asked. I shrugged. She took my cup out of my hand, keeping eye contact with me and sipped out of the cup and handed it back to me. I took it. My heart is beating faster than it should. We kept eye contact as I sipped out of the cup. She let out a low laugh. "Do you wanna go somewhere private?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow. "No. I have friends to see" I walked away, leaving her there.
I found Marcy in a corner. "Hey" I sat down. "Hey. I saw you talking to Cash" she said. "Yeah" I said. She raised an eyebrow at me. "I know. Abby told me about her" I said. "But?" She asked. I sighed and she laughed. "Look, I'm not gonna tell you not to go for it but if something goes wrong then just know that we warned you" she said. I nodded. "Have you seen Jack?" I asked. She shook her head. "We should find her" I said. She nodded and we got up.
Marcy's POV
"Jack?" I yelled. I'm in the backyard looking around. There's people making out and jumping in the pool. I walked around the corner. "Jack!" I shrieked. She's pinned against the wall making out with some guy. She pulled away from him and looked at me. "M-Marcy" she stuttered. The guy left us. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Its just a little fun" she shrugged. "You cant do shit like that Jackie" I said. "Yeah. Its - whatever" she slurred. She doesn't even know what she's saying. "Lets go home" I said. I took her hand and dragged her to the car. I shoved her in the back and texted Briar that I found her. I got in the drivers seat. Jack passed out in the back. We're all home. Its the next day. I stayed home with Jack. Her eyes fluttered open and she stared at me for a second before looking around. "What happened?" She groaned, holding her head. "You got drunk and made out with Matthew Howard" I said. She groaned. "Are you serious? That guy sucks" she said. I glared at her. "Are you mad at me?" She asked. "Yeah! I'm mad at you. You cant get THAT drunk and then make out with some random guy. Actions have consequences!" I yelled. "Stop yelling. I'm sorry ok but you don't have to worry about me. I'm fine" she said. "I bet you are" I snapped. I got up and went to my room.
