"I only wanted to love but why did I suffer?"

'I have no clue'

"Is it a part of wanting happiness for yourself?"

'I have no clue'

"Is it a necessity to experience such things?"

'I have no clue'

"Why... just why?"

Wind caressed his face as he rode his horse along the dark paths of the first mountain.

His pale skin peeked under the dark cloak he was wearing and the platinum jewelries given by the creatures of Nightfall silently jumped along the bumpy ride.

"Young Master, are you okay?" Gideon asked for the nth time.

Pier chuckled as he nodded his head.

"Is there a reason for me to not be fine?" He asked and Gideon silently observed his master.

Pier had a solemn look on his face. The happy expression he just had while talking to Nightfall's chief and the children was now completely gone.

"I guess there isn't, young master" He replied and the white haired noble nodded his head.

Gideon urged Snow to ran faster and the horse happily complied with its master riding on it.

Neigh!

The fast stomps of Snow's hooves on the ground allowed him to become drowned in his own thoughts once more.

"I was such a weakling that I chose to give up than return"

'You are'

"I allowed them to put burden and pain inside my heart"

'You did'

"Now that I'm gone, should I..."

'...'

"I'm so tired, I want to rest, I want to stop"

'...'

"Is... hic... is it wrong to love?"

'It isn't'

"I hate all of them"

Pier shifted his gaze on somewhere else to divert his mind. Tall trees that exuded creepy and eerie vibes passed by them in a swift manner.

It was painful listening to the thoughts the original Pier had.

Those were not his memories anymore but rather, something that he kept all for himself until he died.

What Eliam saw at first were Pier's memories and the latter had just been revealed to him.

"Be happy while I suffered? Hah"

"If I could just get another chance..."

'I'd do the bidding for you'

He clenched his fist under the cloak that he wore and his eyes glared at the direction in front of them for a moment.

Gideon could only feel his young master's slight movement but he knew that it was not something pleasant.

He had seen the numerous instances where his master had shown his rage.

He knew what was about to come will put not just a single person in despair.

The knight took in a deep breath as he turned his eyes on the path they were travelling to again.

"Young Master" He called and Pier turned his head to look at him.

"Yes?"

"Let me help you"
