"We're here." Aragin said, leaning in the back seat to pat rubys shoulder.
"Huh!" Ruby said quickly, eyes widened ing when he touched her and his hand caught fire.
"Sh*t!" He said, and in a matter of seconds the mans whole body had morphed to pure diamond, stopping the flames before they had burnt to much of him.
Rubys eyes widened more, flames flickering down her arms. "You... You didn't die?" She asked surprisedly.
"No, I told you that you couldn't hurt me." The diamond man chuckled, slipping out of the car. He then opened rubys door.
"Come on." He told her.
Ruby slipped out, looking around. Her nose scrunched when her gaze got caught by an old tackle shop that looked like it had rotted for a hundred years and then was turned into a flower shop. Then again left to rot.
"You live here?" She asked, face scrunched in disgust. Well it was better than the streets.
"No of course not, that's just a cover." The man chuckled, crossing his diamond arms. "The real place is under the ground. Come I'll show you." He said, locking his car before heading for the rotten flower shop.
"Thank you." Ruby said as Aragin held open the shops door.
"Your welcome dear." He chuckled softly, stepping in after her. "Climb this ladder and I'll be right down after you." He told her, lifting a floor tile.
Ruby gulped slightly as she leaned over a little to look down, then sat on her butt to lower herself inside.
"Don't worry, it's not very far down." Aragin said, as ruby climbed down the ladder he crouched to make sure she made it down okay.
"Now what?!" Ruby called from down bellow.
"Move!" Aragin called to her and once she took a step aside he dropped down.
"Woah.." Ruby then said in awe as she stared at the never ending metal halls. "This place is huge!" Ruby exclaimed, throwing up her hands.
"That it is, dear." Aragin smiled at her. He then crossed his Damon's arms. "Would you like me to show you around?" He asked, gesturing to the giant metal under ground facility. It was so high it could hold probably 20 military jets stacked ontop of each other from tip to tail, and it was so large even the greatest couldn't measure it in square feet.
"Yes please!" Ruby giggled excitedly, gripping at the frills on her dress sleeves.
"Then follow me." The diamond said, his pure diamond feet clinking against the metal floors as he walked slowly forward.
He was glad that she appreciated and was interested in the place, being he had built it all himself. Which had taken him over two hundred years. Though he looked young he certainly was not. Most would kill to have his kind of life span, not to mention he hadn't hardly aged at all. He'd aged to a young adult and then stopped aging after that.
"Take that!" Came a muffled voice from one of the rooms, the closed metal doors muffling the sound.
"W-who was that?" Ruby asked, fisting the bottom of her dress and moving closer to the diamond man.
"One of the other children who live here." Aragin smiled down at her. "I think you will like her, come I'll introduce you." He said, walking for the metal door that held the owner to the voice.
Once the door was opened ruby peeked in to find fighting dummies thrown across the room, slashed and sliced to bits.
The only two still standing had their fake heads cut from their shoulders in seconds before the swords were drawn back and stabbed into the stuffed chest. "Hah!" Came the girls huff, drawing her swords back again.
Ruby blinked her wide eyes, she hadn't expected all that to come from the green girl she'd just saw.
"Your getting better with your swords Martha." Aragin clapped his diamond hands together. "Your even better than you were yesterday." He clicked his tongue.
"Really!?" The green girl with the swords gasped, slipping her swords back in their sheaths before pushing her black dread locks behind a green ear.
"Really." Aragin smiled, rubys head peeked through the door way.
"Oh- who's she?" Martha asked, pointing a green finger at her.
"R-ruby." Ruby squeaked in a small voice.
The green girl stepped over to hold out her hand, blowing a bubble with her gum until it poped. "The names Martha, it's nice to meet you ruby." She said.
Ruby jumped when she saw Martha's hand, eyes getting wider. She then backed away quickly.
"What? I don't bite.." Martha frowned, pulling back her hand. Was it because she was green? Because she looked different?
"I-I can't touch you.." Ruby mumbled.
"Why not?" Martha tilted her head.
"Cause I'll burn you." Ruby said quickly, fisting her dress again.
"Oh- how come?" Martha asked again, curious.
"She has a curse Martha, don't touch her, that's all we ask." Aragin told the green child, ruffling her dread locks.
"Yes sir! You got it, sir." Martha said, saluting him.
Aragin chuckled softly, he loved when she did that.
(Updates may slow down quite a bit now because I had already written chapters up until this one.)
