Alex snaps her head to the voice in a calling her name, she sees her teacher scolding at her with threatening eyes because she was too busy reading her novel instead of paying attention to the lesson about how the human brain works.
She already knew the work, to her it was the basics, she got straight As without trying and the teacher knew it too so there was no need to bring that much attention to her just because she was having a rough morning.
Alex groans a little and slips in her book mark before putting her book down on the teacher, she rolls her eyes as the teacher goes back to teacher.
She turns her head to catch the blonde across staring at her with a smile, her face breaks into a small shy smile as she holds eye contact with the girl across.
But it is broken by the blonde when she lifts her book to show the same book Alex was reading, Alex's smile widens before she looks back at the blonde and throws her a wink.
The blonde's face turns red at that making Alex's body feel with butterflies and she felt proud of herself. The blonde turns back to her book with a small smile while biting her lip.
Soon the bell rings and everyone collects their things before walking out , Alex being the last out behind the blonde, they both walk side to side silently to the school library until Alex was stopped.
"Are you not chilling with us?" Tessa asks pulling Alex's arm back while glancing at the blonde that keeps walking. Tessa is one of Alex's friends or she thinks, Alex doesn't like any of her friends so she doesn't consider her a friend.
"I am going to the bathroom quickly" Alex lies pulling her arm back, Tessa nods and walks away with her crew. Alex quickly catches up with the blonde, going past the bathroom.
"Weren't you going to the bathroom?" The shorter girl asks with a teasing smile, Alex chuckles and shakes her head while making the girl follow her to the romance and fiction row.
"I wasn't going to the bathroom and you knew that too" She says taking a seat on the floor, the blonde simply smiles and sits opposite her against the opposite shelf.
They both silently take out their books and earphones, Alex pulls out her snacks and passes some to the girl across, who gives her a sweet smile and thanks her.
The two silently read their books with one earphone on their ears while eating snacks, the girls would steal glances at each other and admire each other, although they caught each other a few times but they didn't shy away.
Soon Alex was finishing the book, she was way further then the blonde by a few chapters. Once she finished her book, she puts it away and lays down on her side using the bag as her hand and elbow to stay up.
The fluffy carpet of the library didn't bother her or the filth, which there is barely any since high schoolers definitely don't spend their time in the school library.
Alex silently watches the blonde scan the words on the paper while she bites her bottom lip subconsciously, Alex takes in the girl's features. The light freckles on the nose and cheeks and blue eyes with a lazy eye.
"You're staring" The blonde snaps Alex out of her thoughts but doesn't take her eyes of the page in front of her even though she had lost her focus long ago, busy thinking about it the girl across her.
Alex decided to be bold with this one, she's definitely scared of rejection, I mean she doesn't even have the girl's name yet but she was very sure that the girl across from her is at least bisexual.
With the rings, necklaces, reads books and quiet, chilled style, she has to be. "Well, you can't blame me when you look so pretty" She says boldly even though inside she was shaking of nerves.
The blondes cheeks turn a dark shade of pink as she closes the her book and looks over at Alex, who has a nervous smile but changes to a proud one when she sees the girl's flushed face.
The blonde shakes her head with a little smile and picks on her short acrylic nails, Alex sits up closer to the girl and folds her legs in front of the girl.
"What's your name?" She asks softly making the blonde laugh, she had forgot she never gave her name yet A,ex is here trying to flirt with her.
"I guess I will have to guess" Alex sighs when the blonde only laughs at her, the sound of the blondes laughter makes Alex gushy instead. "Give me at least the first letter" She pleads but the blonde doesn't budge.
"Come on, help me out please" The blonde finally gives in and gives her a simple 'B' in response. Immediately Alex is saying random names that start with the letter.
"Stop" The blonde giggles shutting Alex up, "It's Billie" She gives in with a smile when she sees Alex's face light up.
"Well Billie, I'm Alexander, Alex for short" She introduces herself with a wide smile that her cheeks hurt, their little moment was disturbed by bell indicating lunch is over.
The blonde sighs and stands up but Alex stays explaining how she has a free lesson now. With final goodbye, the blonde was walking out the library but not without giving Alex a sweet smile.
Alex notices the water bottle the blonde had forgotten but she didn't worry about it because it gave her another reason to talk to the girl.
