Third Person's POV:
Simeon transported the father and son duo to Anastacius' second villa. Anastacius quickly demanded the servants to prepare Cain's bed. Hearing his tone, The servants then shuddered and immediately arranged Cain's bed. As Anastacius put Cain to the bed, The lad then started to sweat profusely and started to moan. Seeing his son's state, Anastacius couldn't help but feel anxious at the thought of his son having a hard time.
He then checked Cain's temperature to see that he have a fever. He clicked his tongue and was about to take the herbal medicines but Cain held his hands. Slightly open eyes, Cain whispered, "don't leave me alone....papa...".As much as Anastacius want to hold Cain, He needs to get the medicine to make Cain's condition better.
Meanwhile, In Cain's Dream:
You can see a father and son duo reading a book together. Everything went fine until the father stood up and walk away. Ariston was about to chase his Papa but his legs were wrapped in vines. Ariston tried taking the vines off by using mana and hands but it didn't work. All he could do was to watch his father, Anastacius, All he could do was to watch him drift away to nowhere...
'Wait no...'
'Papa...!Y-You forgot about me!'
'Wait...Papa...What about me..? Please don't leave me...'
'Papa! I don't want to be alone again! Please come back...Don't go..'
Ariston couldn't help but cry. Everyone went on without him...The darkness was now taking the imaginary tree and all that was left on nowhere was Ariston who's on his knees crying.
'...it's not fair...'
Back to Anastacius villa:
Cain keeps shivering and tears was falling in his eyes. Anastacius couldn't help but feel guilty about even making Cain meet that bastard (Claude). He then continued to tend Cain.
It's been 2 days since Ariston had a coma. Today, When the maids were cleaning his room, they saw Ariston sitting on his bed and immediately informed Anastacius. Of course, Being a great father he is, He immediately stopped doing his work and immediately goes to Ariston's room.
As soon as Anastacius arrived in Ariston's room, He was then met with a crying Ariston. As soon as CAIN noticed his presence, The lad immediately ran towards him and tightly hugged him.
"Cain. Is there something wrong?"Anastacius asked as he kneel and wipe Cain's tears. Cain nods and started crying more. Seeing his current state, Anastacius knows that he must have had a nightmare. After a while of sobbing, Ariston's heavy breath turns to soft ones; indicating that the lad is already asleep. Smiling, Anastacius then carried him and put him on his bed. It's like the time when Cain had a heavy fever, but this time, Anastacius didn't leave his side and is cuddling him.
A week passed and Cain was back on being himself. Although, He became clingier to Anastacius.He would also often smile which made the maids coo at his cuteness. And these days, Simeon was always blushing furiously when Cain was around.
As Anastacius and Cain were walking, A group of knights and a carriage then surrounded them. Claude and the young magician were in the carriage and As Claude waved his hands, The knights then chained Anastacius and held Cain. Anastacius tried using black magic but it seems like the young magician did some spells. The Magician named 'Lucas' then step out of the carriage and took out a book. He then chanted some spells which made Aerternitas vanish. As their ancestor vanished, Claude then went out of the carriage with a sword. Predicting what was about to happen, Cain tried getting out of the grasp of the knights. As much as he wanted to use his mana, Anastacius cast him a spell that made his mana disappear for a day; He cares for his son too much that he doesn't want to happen what happened weeks ago.
Claude then went behind Anastacius. And pointed the sword on his kneck.
"Papa!!Please you majesty!Not Papa!Please!"Cain wriggled and keep trying to get out of the grasp of the Knights.
Anastacius just smiled at him sweetly and muttered...
"Sorry"
Cain's eyes followed the head of his lifeless father. The head still held a smile which made C̶̫̪͕͋̇̀̌̚ã̶̧̙̬̘͓̂͐̀͊̄͑̇̃́i̸̫̗̪̩̱̼͔̓͗ͅn̶̼̫͔͇̺͓̏̋̃̋̃̈́̂̽-̸̧̝̫̺̲̣͍̽͑͗ͅͅAriston tears fall.
He stands there frozen. Not a single care about his surroundings.All the voices and noises...They are slowly fading..to the point that he can't hear anything...
His surroundings...It became darker every second. Until the only thing, he can see is his beloved father's separated head and body.
Slowly, The darkness consumed him...
