i packed a small bag for the trip. 
'tomorrow is my birthday tikki,' i whispered to her, 'tomorrow ill officially be coronated as the princess.'
'it is almost exciting marinette!' 
'oh please' 
the plan was simple. i would go to china with my classmates as a normal student, visit two three vacation spots then go to the castle, along with the whole class who are also staying there and pretend everything is normal till they all sleep. then in the middle of the night, ill sneak out to the royal chamber of the queen and talk with my mother. then sleep and next day surprise my classmates with a birthday bash AND a crown on my head.
'marinette!' sabine called
'ill be down in a sec mom!'
i look around the room. the next time i see it, ill be the princess of quingdao. my life will change in the next 48 hours. my class will find out about all about it. i made my way down along with tikki; covered in goosebumps.
'oh sweetie look at you,' tom said, 'you grew up so fast.'
marinette smiled. 'ill be waiting for you both to show up tomorrow, dad, mom. i love you both.'
'we love you too honey,' sabina hugged her. 'and for your birthday present, we have something for you.'
'what is it?' she asked excitedly. 
'well it was difficult, choosing gift for A REAL PRINCESS who already has everything so we chose something personal. something memorable. here goes...'
tom pulled out a big book. 
'whats this?' marinette asked, interested.
'its a diary. a record of you since we got you, to be given on you when you'll officially be the princess of quingdao and not our daughter...we used to write this diary, along with your pictures of everything. we used to record every new thing you did and preserve the memory.'
'aww' marinette hugged them, 'and ill forever be your daughter papa. thank you for such an amazing present. its- miraclous!'
with a tearful goodbye and sabine handing her an ancestral family loom bracelet, they finally separated.

marinette and alya entered the plane together, and found seats behind adrien and nino. adrien waved to marinette softly. she stilled and waved back and took her seat shyly. 
somewhere in the middle of the night marinette awoke and found herself resting on someone's shoulder. oh i must have fell asleep on alya, she thought and got up to use wc. as she tried to got up from the middle seat, her legs buckled and she fell on the lap on somone. it wasnt alya who i fell asleep on...steady arms gripped her by her waist. 
marinette was about to scream when the boy shut her mouth. 
'adrien?!' mari whispered. he nodded, blushing. 'i fell asleep on you?'
'yeah, alya changed positions with me.'
damn damn damnnnnn. 'oh' 
'well i was just going to use the wc' marinette said. adrien nodded again. marinette didnt move from her place (from top of adrien) not because she didnt want to, because adrien still held her by her waist in the place, giving her butterflies.
'oh im sorry.' he blushed profoundly when he noticed mari looking at his hands over her waist. 
'no..thanks for catching me.' she smiled and got up.
'oh and marinette?' adrien said softly, 'happy birthday.'
'you remember?' marinette whispered overwhelmed
'ofcousre i do marinette.' he whispered, 'ofcourse i do.'
then she ran to the washroom internally screaming. 
she looked inside her purse and found a sleeping tikki. she smiled and closed it. as she got out, she saw adrien waiting for her outside the washroom. 
'what-what are you doing here adrien?' 
moonlight showed directly over them from the window as adrien moved closer and closer to her, till he finally hugged her. then he started whispering in her ears and marinette lost her world. her spine chilled and she was left in a tingly mess. little did she know the boy in front of her was, unexpectedly feeling the same.
'i got something for you, as a present.'
'what is it?'
'close your eyes.' 
she did as she was told. he handed her something. 'oh and dont open it till today's evening.' 
'why?' she asked her eyes still closed. adrien put his hand over her eyes, 'you'll know why.'
