Years Later. Present Time
Sakura Pov
I was sitting in the shade, under one of the tall trees at the Academy. Going through my notes, and making a copy for Naruto. We had our exam coming up in a few months, and it would be better to get him studying right away for them. Besides, these will be our last tests. Were becoming Genin. Real Ninjas! and we need to at least graduate from the academy with good marks. I knew that Naruto's notes would not be good for him to study with, I mean have you seen them?? There like a puzzle you have to solve. He cant even read them. That alone should say something.
"Sakura-Chan!" I lifted my head from my new notes I just finished making for Naruto to be met with the sight of said person, dragging another boy out into the daylight. His face was filled with annoyance as he grudgingly came with. Rolling my eyes, I set my own notes back into a small pouch around my waist, and rolled up the scroll for Naruto. "Sakura Chan! Look who I dragged out here!" I looked up at the energetic boy, then over to the annoyed boy standing next to him.
"Hello Naruto Kun, Sasuke Kun, what are you both doing?"
"Leaving." Sasuke tried to make his way back to the academy, before Naruto grabbed his shirt collar and dragged him back.
"No were not leaving! Were here to hang out with you!" Naruto said happily as he plopped down beside me. I looked up at the board boy still standing.
"Fine." He plopped down on he other side of me, looking at the ground, with crossed arms.
Tossing Naruto his notes I made him, I decided now would be a good time to read. I started to pull out a book when Naruto grabbed my arm. "Nuh uh! no reading! you can read later! andthankyousomuchforthenotesbythewayyouralifesaver-" I giggled slightly at his words.
"so Sasuke, have you started studying for the exams coming up?"
"you mean the ones in a few months? No. I still have lots of time." I thoughtfully nodded as Naruto had already opened his scroll and reading through it. "I am planning on beating your score this year."
"I look forward to the challenge Sasuke." I smiled slightly at my remark. There was no way I was going to let him get a better score then me. Besides, we still have a few months left, if he uses them to study as I will, maybe he could come close. Maybe.
We all rush through the door of our classroom and Into our seats right in time for the bell. Iruka Sensei stepped into the classroom, wearing a sort of sad smile. He let his eyes graze over us all. All of his students. Shaking his head, he finally spoke. "You are all growing up so fast... all of you. You all only have a few more months here before you become Genin.. I cant believe how much you have all grown. I remember when you were all still little boys and girls, curious, innocent, little kids. Now, your all going to be leaving. Its so sad." I guess it can be a little sad that were leaving.. but there will be challenge and more training ahead. and I will become a great ninja. Iruka Sensei went on to talk about how were all going to have great responsibilities as Genin and how he will miss us. I don't see why, we still have a couple of months right? Why is he saying this all now?

School went by fast, with the exception of Iruka Sensei's speech. Walking out of the school, two boys seemed to find their way to my side. One energetic, the other board. "Sakura Chan! thank you again for the notes! I will start my studying right away!"
"Your welcome Naruto Kun!"
"Hey Sakura Chan, are you going to be heading to the library today?" Sasuke piped up.
"Hm.. I was planning on it, last time I was there, the librarian said they were getting new books from other villages brought here. So I do wish to read those soon. Why?"
"Because I was planning on going. And if you wanted to go anyway, then you should come with me."
"Oh!" My cheeks started to heat up at his comment. "Sure, we can go together." I smiled, then heard a scoff from a certain loud blond.
"Wow guys, planning to hang out without me?"
"Didn't you say you were going to go have tea at that new tea shop with Hinata?" Sasuke glanced at Naruto in question.
"Yeah I know. I guess your right I made plans without you first." I shook my head playfully.
"And here you inferred we were being rude." My comment made Naruto rack his brain for meaning. Like I spoke a foreign language. "That you hinted that we were being rude but you did it first-" I started correcting myself in a more simpler manor for the boy.
We walked over to Naruto's house and waved him goodbye before starting over to the village library. It was a comfortable silence as we walked. But I could feel a sort of... ease around him. Around Sasuke.
"So Sasuke, is Itachi going to pick you up from the library? I saw him the other day in town."
"Yes, he will. He is also going to be in the village for a few more days."
"Must be nice to see him. Did you miss him?"
"More or less. he can be really annoying."
"Really? I thought he would be a bit of one of those "cool" brothers I've read in books-" Sasuke laughed a little at this. "Hey! Its not funny! I have read lots of things in books!"
"Sure, and I bet you trust them." This time I laughed a little with him. The library was now in view as I pulled out a book I needed to return. Sasuke looked at me with a face saying: 'of course you have a book.' I playfully rolled my eyes at him.
"We only have three months to study Sasuke Kun. Make sure your prepared."
"I will."
