Dabi's POV

"Sh*t."

I cursed realizing someone is following me. I fasten my pace, trying to cover myself in the black coat to blend in with the dark.

But still, they were able to follow me.

How annoying.

If it weren't raining right now, I would've burnt everyone into ashes so easily.

The next thing I realized; I was cornered in the wall. Let's see, great.

4 people were surrounding me. Heroes? I guess so. Or maybe some assassin wanting to kill me by some other villain. After all, I'm all around the news. Such troublesome.

I let out a small smirk waiting for one of them to come to attack me. But they ended up not. Within a blink, I realize all 4 of them were on the floor, bleeding tremendously.

Who did this? That was quick.
No, it was too quick.

I look around and saw a girl not far from where I was standing. She was holding an umbrella and smiling towards me.

But I could tell she was the one who saved me by the spark of blood on her cheek. I couldn't help but let out a disbelief chuckle. Who is she?

Before I was able to walk towards her, she started walking to me.

"That was close, wasn't it?"

Her voice.
It sounded so innocent that people wouldn't believe she just slashed 4 people to the ground. But it couldn't be helped that I was more impressed by her.

Moreover, she looks so normal, so simple probably a civillian, it would be hard for anyone to believe what she did. She did it so easily without trembling despite having blood on her.

"I guess it was..."

My hand scratched the back of my neck as I couldn't keep my eyes off of her.

She started grabbing her umbrella and placing it in my hands. The smile on her face just hasn't left her.

How isn't she scared? Looking at her, she isn't a villain. If she were I'd know.

"You should come back tomorrow. You know, to give me my umbrella back."

The girl winked as casually speaks in a playful tone. With that, she left. I couldn't help but stand there frozen, not knowing what to do.

I mean, should I go?
I'm dangerous to be around her, to begin with. No, I won't come back tomorrow.

________________

I'm just going to return her umbrella and leave. Yeah, that's all. That is why I'm here again. No other reason.

Thank goodness it wasn't raining this time. I stood at the place where we both first met.

Would she come? I don't know.

My feet kicked the canned bottles that were lying on the floor as I waited around. If she isn't here by 1 AM, I'll leave.

"You came!"

Oh. She came.

I came here to give her the umbrella and leave. I repeated that in my head as I walk towards her, while my hand reached out to give her an umbrella. She chuckled.

"So, your only purpose is to give me the umbrella and leave?"

I saw her pouting at me. I let out a sigh, of course, what else I'd be doing? Hanging out with you and not caring a single damn that I'm a criminal? How easy.

"You shouldn't be around a villain. Let alone me. I can't be here or I'll end up hurting you."

I patted her head to make her look down as I walk past her. I feel pitiful for this girl. She looks so innocent and exactly why?

I'm sure she knows who I am considering I'm everywhere on TV and it's so clear that I was considered a villain.

Before I could leave, she tugged my jacket making me stop

"So? You could be normal for tonight and hang out with me. I don't care. I just need a friend."

My eyes twitched a bit. Normal. It's been a long time since someone wants me to be normal.

How I wished I was a long time ago. Seeing her looking so excited, I guess I can't help but follow what she says.

Just for tonight. We ended up walking in the quiet streets of the park. She seemed to be comfortable even being in the silence.

"You know, besides that, I'm a villain, I'm also a man. And it's dangerous to be with one in the middle of the night. Especially a stranger."

I tried intimidating her. My face leaned closer to her as I have a smirk plastered on my face. But she ended up laughing the minute I finish.

What on earth is wrong with her?

"Don't worry. I know that. But for some reason, I trust you."

I raised my eyebrow feeling completely surprised at her. I chuckle, she really is interesting.

"Will you come again tomorrow?"

"Only if you want me to."

She looks at me surprised. I couldn't believe I actually replied that. Yet I couldn't just stop seeing her after meeting her 2 times already.

Maybe I should try to know her for a while, it doesn't seem like she'll even call any heroes anytime soon. I saw her smirking at me.

"I would love to if you come."

Her sarcastic tone made me roll my eyes and look away.

"Don't look at me like that."

I walked ahead of her, that face of hers makes me feel weird along with that smile. I could hear her chuckling from behind, she really does treat me like a normal person. Well, let's see how long it'll last.

At that time, I didn't realize meeting her would change my future. And it sure wasn't for the better.

....or even for the worse either.
