"So wait, Calum convinced you to skip today? Do you remember what happened last time?" Ana laughs on the other end of the phone. What she's talking about is the last time I skipped because of Calum. This was sophomore year and at the time I had a small crush on Calum, so anything he wanted me to do, I did. So one day he asked if I wanted to skip school with him, and I said yes. Since my parents were out of town we went to my house, it was Calum, Ana, Luke, and I. Luke and and Ana weren't together yet, but it was obvious they'd be soon. We were watching a movie on my couch and it was looking like Cal would kiss me. I mean, he let me cuddle into his chest when the movie got scary, he was feeding me popcorn, he even did the cliche 'arm around the shoulder' thing they show on tv. It seemed like he was leaning in to kiss me, but then my front door opened and my parents walked in. Since it was a Tuesday at noon, there was no way we could pretend like school was out. To sum it up, we all got in trouble.

"Yeah, I remember. But he has a plan so my parents don't get a call. Your parents never answer the phone, you're fine. Just come with us, I don't want to be alone with them. You can bring Luke." I tell her from my car. Calum and Michael went to go do whatever they had planned to get my parents out of the phone call.

"Them? Who else is going to be there?" She asks.

"Michael. When I got to the coffee shop earlier he was with Cal, and Cal mentioned him in skipping. So if you come, it'll be you, Luke, Cal, Michael, and I. Just please come, it'll give you time to make out with Luke."

"Yeah, fine. I'll get Luke to come. It's not going to be easy, he'll be scared the whole time though, his mom will kill him if she finds out. Whatever, I'll figure it out. Where are we meeting up?" She asks.

"Uh, I don't know really. Cal just told me to be at his house in fifteen minutes, so I guess his place." I shrug, though she can't see me.

"Alright, Luke and I will be there." She says. We exchange goodbyes and then hang up. I've still got time to kill, but I don't really know what to do. I guess I'll go through my messages. Noah asked me again to come to that party, saying he'd be there and there'd be lots of alcohol. Luke texted me a second ago telling me I'm a meanie for convincing Ana to ditch, saying he'll never forgive me unless I buy them pizza. I text Noah back saying I'll consider it and I text Luke saying maybe if they're lucky I'll buy them pizza.

My phone goes off with a text from Mikey saying that him and Cal just went through with the plan to stop my parents from finding out I'm skipping, and that I can head to Calum's house now. So I text back okay before starting my car and pulling out of the coffee shop parking lot.

"How'd they convince your parents?" Ana says hopping out of Luke's car and coming towards me on Calum's porch, Him and Michael aren't here yet, but I texted them and they told me to wait on the porch.

"I don't know really, all I know is obviously they did because my parents aren't texting me asking why I'm not at school." I shrug, watching Luke get out of his car slowly as if he's afraid of getting caught. Ana looks at what I'm looking at once she gets to the porch, and laughs at her boyfriend.

"Babe, you're fine. I promise your mom isn't going to come find you, remember you texted her saying not to worry about the school phone call because you're running a bit late? You told her your car wouldn't start so you said you were late, she'll believe you." Ana says trying to comfort Luke. Luke nods slowly, trying to comprehend it as he gets to the porch.

"Yeah, you're right." He says scratching the back of his neck. That's when I notice the red lipstick stain on his neck and I burst out laughing. "Alli? You alright?" Luke and Ana both ask.
