Chapter 23

I tapped my foot impatiently behind a wall which concealed me from the eyes of Yoseob. He doesn’t know that I followed him in the gym where he is supposed to meet with Joo Won. At least that’s what I think. I have no way of knowing if Yoseob was aware that I followed him here secretly.

After my ‘meeting’ with Sir Yoseob (it feels weird calling him that), I informed Joo Won to meet him in the gym. He agreed. And right now, Yoseob is standing there alone, waiting for him. And as for me, I am hiding. Waiting for Joo Won to come.

The reason that I followed him here is because he seems to be annoyed at Joo Won, and I have no idea why. And his plan to help Joo Won with his unrequited love is far too suspicious. Why would he help someone who he’s annoyed with? I have no idea. That’s why, as usual, I let my curiosity take over me and followed him here, careful that he doesn’t find me.

Joo Won finally arrived, 15 minutes late. Or maybe we were 15 minutes early. Who knows.

Joo Won looked around the gym warily, as if worried that someone other than them is there, then finally, he let his eyes fall onto the only person present. He looket at Yoseob cautiously, as if he was someone suspicious, which is definitely true. I was peeking through the wall, careful not to be seen.

Contrary to the serious and dark expression he was having just now, his eyes lit up to a smile that is so attractive, Eun Jae would have fainted. He was faking it, I now. But Joo Won wouldn’t know that.

“Hello, Mr. Joo Won!” he beamed enthusiastically. Oh my, such an excellent actor. I despised him for that.

“Hi, Sir Yoseob.” Joo Won’s voice softened a little bit. Just a bit. But I can see that he still had that cautious feeling. He is feeling resentful towards Yoseob, a person whom Eun Jae is obsessed with. It’s totally understandable. Yoseob’s graceful and elegant smile, his posture and his perfectly proportioned face. Anyone would be feeling resentment towards a being whose looks are so perfect to the point it’s annoying.

“So, this upcoming school festival, there will be a dance.” Yoseob said as he locked eyes with Joo Won.

“And?” he asks.

“Well, I want to ask Eun Jae to dance with me.” He said.

What? Did I hear that right?

My expression was the same, stunned face as Joo Won. Is he bonkers!? He said he will help Joo Won, but this is FAR from helping him! In fact, this would irritate the hell out of him! And my point was proven to be correct when Joo Won glared at him with menacing eyes.

“Is this a joke? If it is, it’s no where near the category of funny.” He snapped.

“Oh please don’t misunderstand,” Yoseob was smug, as if enjoying his discomposure. How sadistic this person can be. “Asking her out is part of the plan.”

“Plan?” Joo Won wasn’t the only one confused.

“I think Miss Eun Jae would love to go with me. But instead of me showing up in her doors, it would be you. I’d make up an excuse for not showing up. Then you can use that time to be alone with her. Sounds good?” he answered him.

Joo Won still examined him suspiciously.

“And why would I believe that?”

“Because I would do that one one condition.”
