Chapter 81 - Remus's birthday

                                    

                                          

I woke up at lunch time in my own bed, Bear asleep happily on my tummy. Reg was right on the edge, basically hanging off my bed. I felt incredibly fatigued and my reaction time was very slow. I still felt the effects a little. "Reg wake up." I groaned and shuffled to make room for him. When I looked over he was sleeping in a heap on the floor. He mumbled something in response and opened his sleepy eyes, it was funny watching his head pop up, eyes half closed, looking around wondering where he was. "How come you ended up on the floor my love?" 
"I think I fell." He chuckled and got onto my bed with me. It was a squash and a squeeze fitting two people including bear in but it was cosy. "You passed out stoned so I carried you up here and layed down too."
"Remus's birthday is coming up I need to bake him a cake." I got up and blinked, great. I felt rough. "The boys can't be in a kitchen unsupervised and Lily is distracting him with studying in the library." I rubbed my eyes and walked over to my desk to have a drink. Reg hadn't undressed me so I was still in yesterday's clothes but he had taken off my makeup for me. I would have been fine with him getting me out of my clothes to sleep but he didn't want to do anything of the sort while I was unconscious, even when he was high he never failed to look after me. 
"I've got quidditch practice and I still feel the fucking weed." Reg groaned and I laughed. 
I took his hands to help him up. "Come on love if I have time I'll watch you." 
He kissed me gently "I'm sure my friends must know we're dating."
"Well we're not as careful as we used to be." I shrugged and kissed him back. "They wouldn't dare say anything... To your face." I smirked. 
Reg laughed a little. "Mulciber can't even attend today's practice. He's still in the hospital wing, apparently some of the cuts got infected. Wouldn't shock me if it's because he rarely sees the shower." He smirked.
I felt bad then remembered it was Mulciber. "You don't feel bad?" I asked him, playing with his hands and running my thumb over the snake ring that wrapped around his middle finger. 
"Absolutely not." He shook his head. "If it was anyone else I would. Not Mulciber." He put his arms around my waist "Do you absolutely have to go now or can you stay for a while?"
"I'd love to stay and kiss you all day but I've got shit to do and so do you, you'll be late!" I chuckled and kissed him before getting up. 
He groaned and stood up, we walked through the common room and then down stairs. He needed to go and get ready and I needed to eat breakfast. "Right I'll see you later." He said and kissed my head.

I ate my breakfast with Marlene, Mary and Lily and went to the kitchen once I was finished. "Right let's see the damage then." I teased the boys. Sirius tied his dark hair up in a man bun so it didn't get in the way, James was looking rather confused as he studied the recipe book and Peter was putting sugar into the bowl with a ladle. 
"Oh my god." I shook my head. "Okay stop stop stop. The effort is great but- no. Pete you'll never need to use a ladle when baking a cake! How much sugar is in there?" I laughed. 
Peter laughed a little "I don't know but the muggle measuring thingies are weird." 
"God sake wormy just guess!" Sirius teased. 
"Well once you've finished styling your hair you can make yourself useful." I replied to Sirius "okay I'm incharge of this project now as apparently I'm the only one who knows what to do." 
"Okay I think we need these things called weighing scales?" James asked a little confused. 
"Where's Evans when you need her?" Sirius sighed.
