"This is bullshit, with Y/N following this guy on Instagram and us tracking all of his stories, why does she still need to meet up with him?" Peter sighed, sitting on the couch next to Tony as they waited for Y/N to get ready for her date.

"You're just angry that she's going out with this kid Matt. It's all fake you know Peter, it's just for us to get some information on The Revolutionists," Tony chuckled, looking up as Y/N came down the corridor all dolled up.

It had been just over a week since Y/N had met this so called Revolutionist founder. The heroes were skeptic of his involvement day after day, but after he finally posted a photo on his story that proved he was telling the truth, they set up the fake date. He posted a selfie with the caption 'big things in the making' with a one hundred emoji and the background matched that of The Revolutionist propaganda videos.

Peter scoffed when Y/N sent the screenshot to Tony who then passed it along to the other Avengers; saying that 'he's more of a douchebag than we thought' due to the fact he used a one hundred emoji.

"You really have to look that nice for him? I don't even think we have been out together where you've dressed this nice..." Peter said in a backhanded way, trying to come across as complimenting her but mostly just insulting her.

"Yeah, maybe if you actually ask me on an actual date then I can dress up like this. I can't wear something like this to a sushi train or to watch movies in your dorm room," she taunted back, taking a deep breath and groaning.

"You haven't been on a proper date and you've already said you love each other? And you guys aren't like, 'boyfriend and girlfriend'? God, your generation sucks," Tony sighed, holding out his hand for Y/N.

He further explained that if she wore the small disc behind her ear and hidden by her hair, they would be able to hear her the whole time. Tony ensured her that Peter would be at the same restaurant unmasked and that Tony would be on a nearby roof as Iron Man in case anything went astray.

She was worried to say the least. She didn't think this Matt person would hurt her, she was more just scared to give herself away that she was interrogating him. How would she speak? How would she act? Would he be able to tell she was acting out of the ordinary or trying to get information?

"Can't Natasha just wear a nano mask and then just like, bam!" Peter said smacking his hand against the couch in a karate chop action.

"Sorry, what's a nano mask?" Y/N interrupted, shifting her weight from one foot to another nervously.

"A photostatic veil, it's kind of like a thin material programmed to relocate someone's face and voice. It works best if you stick to the same body shape, I would look ridiculous wearing one with your head stuck on my body," Tony explained casually.

"Can't we use one of those? That sounds perfect!" Y/N whined, checking the time on her phone and sighing when she realised it was time to leave.

Tony was fascinated by the concept of Uber when Y/N called one to pick her up from Stark Tower. He of course strictly used chauffeurs and could not grasp the fact that random people around the world used their own cars to drive strangers around.

"Do you pick what car you get?" Tony asked.

"No, it just selects the closest driver who accepts your ride request," Peter explained.

"What if some guy comes and picks me up in a hatchback Mazda," Tony said almost in fear, screwing up his face in disgust.

"Well then, you get inside that Mazda. You can choose Uber Black which is like, more premium cars but you could still get a Mazda... Just a nicer Mazda," Y/N shrugged, watching the Toyota Camry pull up at the kerb.

"This is a horrible app. Remember kiddo, Peter and I will be near you the whole time," Tony smiled, waving at her and smiling as she got in the backseat.

"Why do you look so happy?" Peter said looking at Tony confusingly.

"It's the first time I'm seeing my daughter go on a date. It's like, a milestone moment for me," Tony shrugged, activating his suit as it formed around him.

"You ready? You might want to start swinging if you want to get to the restaurant with enough time to change out of your suit," Tony laughed before flying off, leaving Peter on the side of the road alone. He sighed before walking down the street with his backpack, looking for a discreet spot to put his suit on.

"Cool, I'll make my own way there. That's nice, don't offer to get me a car or anything, it's not like it's winter and the heaters in my suit are still de-activated from when you grounded me. I'll just swing through the fucking snowy ass city by myself. That's great Tony, thanks so much," Peter muttered to himself bitterly whilst he pulled his clothes off behind a dumpster, shivering as the alley he was in acted like a wind tunnel.

Peter fixed his hair after swinging to the restaurant, walking past Matt and Y/N who were only just being seated on his way to the bar. He positioned himself to face them, the practically invisible earpiece allowing him to hear their conversation as did Tony's.

Tony had stopped by a Puerto Rican bodega and ordered himself some food for his stake out, now perched on top of a building nearby to eavesdrop. He asked Jarvis inside his suit to play the football game on his helmet screen to keep his boredom at bay and listened to Y/N's date through the speakers. He was all set for the next few hours on stand by in case Y/N needed help.

Peter, ordering a cocktail he couldn't pronounce and a bowl of fries, scrolled aimlessly on his phone as he heard another man flirt with the girl he loved, trying desperately not to go over to their table and hit him.

"So Matt, how'd you get into all this Revolution stuff anyway? Being a founder and all, you must be like what? Rich, well connected, a genius or all three?" Y/N said in an attempt to start the conversation whilst purposely flattering him.

"How about this, if the date goes well, I'll take you to see where all the magic happens."
