Dreams ears were practically held to the door, listening for any indicator that the boy had awoken.

It had taken about a day and a half. In that time he travelled to L'manburg quickly to see how the news went down.

Tubbo locked himself in the panic room, leaving Quackity and Fundy in charge. He refused to talk to anyone, he just stared down at a random compass, crying aimlessly into it.

Ranboo wasn't taking it too well either. He just paced across his house, muttering in strange tongues.

Dream took this as his chance to get rid of some of Ranboo's things about Tommy, make it a little easier for him to forget.

Everyone was deeply hurt at the news. Not much happened and everyone mourned for the lose of such a bright person.

A dull cloud hung over L'manburg.

To add to it, he declared war, now going to destroy Tommy's last tie to the past.

Though he would only put Tommy into that as a really last resort.

He would never hurt Tommy.

He just needed to train Tommy to keep him safe. In case someone came.

Someone came to take Tommy from him.

Regardless, he acted sad but on the contrary, he was the most excited he had been for a while.

He left quickly to check the teen to no luck.

It was the next morning and he heard a stir, someone was sliding of the bed to the floor.

Dream busted the door open to see the child, awkwardly perked on his bed, head slightly tilted down, not saying a word.

He could tell he was shocked and confused.

Dream inwardly chuckled to himself at the teens respect yet so much confusion.

"Hey Toms!" Dream cheered, Tommy flinching visibly at the name, "how are you feeling! You got me so scared! Why did you do that?"

"I-I Tubbo talked to me, he made me feel worthless, not that I don't already." He murmured as he looked at the man with a pitiful expression.

"You poor thing. Come here." Tommy slowly stumbled to Dream, hissing in pain as he delicate skin touch him, though he knew Tommy was so touch-deprived, he would keep hugging anyways.

"Tommy I have a gift to make you feel better." Dream said reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a bandana, similar to the one Tubbo had given him, yet different as there was a smiley face embroidered into the fabric, claiming whoever wore it as Dream's.

Tommy hesitated, scared to disappoint the other.

His mind was so fragile. So desperate for any kind of love. Even if it was faked..

No.

It was never faked,

He loves Tommy.(please in a brotherly, possessive and obsessive way. No ships! That always applies!)

He took off his old one, then picked up the new one. It was very warm.

Tommy liked the warmth.

Once he put it on everything became numb, everything was quiet, muffled like his ears were stuffed with wool. The only thing he heard clearly was Dreams voice.

It seemed nice and comforting, all he thoughts were tuned out. It felt... nice.
It was only interrupted by one thing.

Appease Dream.

He is your friend.

Do anything he says.

His eyes dulled, turning from a brilliant blue, a colour only rivalled but the tropical sea in beauty, to a murky turquoise.

Dreams satisfaction was plastered across his face. He knew the enchantment was taking hold.

Dream turned and walked, Tommy instantly following without a word. He liked Tommy better quiet, that's not saying he won't talk to him.

Dream took Tommy to an overgrown coliseum, a training-ground Dream used many times.

Dream spent two weeks, teaching Tommy everything he needed to be the deadly, stealth, fencing, dodging, shooting bows, hunting, tridenting, all whilst upholding slight chatter.

Now, Dream doesn't want to put Tommy in danger, but he still wants to take Tommy out and kill everyone in L'manburg with him.

If everything goes to plan and he stays safe of course.

No harm shall come to his precious.

Tommy was calm and quiet for the most part. He learnt quickly what Dream had shown him.

Tommy and Dream fought. There swords clashing to a gentle buzz. Dream cut a slit into Tommy's arm as the teen tried to defend. Tommy advanced on Dream but Dream knocked Tommy to the floor.

Dream was quite impressed, Tommy was getting a lot better, but that didn't mean he was perfect.

"You should never be close enough to a person that they can touch you. Everyone is a threat. I am your only friend." Dream cooed.

Tommy nodded quickly as he got to his feet. Tommy said quiet words of praise to Dream that didn't go unnoticed.

The fought again, this time Tommy was more distant, keeping himself safe whilst still attacking Dream. Tommy's sword slashed his leg then he made what would have been a killing move. He stopped just before he hit his throat.

His sword fell as he started tending to Dreams wound, murmuring soft apologies at him hurting the older. Once Dreams leg was fixed up, he backed himself into the pillar, crying in his regret.

Dream was so proud.

His little friend had bested him in battle. Even though he was taking it easy on him, it showed he could easily best all of L'manburg.

"Excellent work Tommy! I have a gift for you as you finished your training!" Dream said, snapping Tommy out of his panic attack.

He knew it was just the enchantment screaming at his mind, cursing him for hurting Dream.

He didn't pay it much mind as he helped the crying teen to his feet and walked away, signalling for him to follow.

He did.

...

He is ready.

His little Nightmare.
