Two days, Kim realized she had been kept hostage for two days yet it felt like forever. She sat huddled in her corner, slowly going out of her mind when two men came for her. One of them was the face covered guy whom she hadn't seen since he dropped the snacks for her.
They carried her up to the room where she last saw Seun. This time, he was with an older man and there was a notable resemblance between them. He was Kehinde Durojaiye, Seun's father and he was dressed in a lime green agbada.
'Seun's father.' Kim gritted her teeth. The men pushed her down to kneel. Kehinde stared down at her like a King staring down upon a filthy peasant.
"So this is the girl that knows about our operations, Kimberly Onochie..." Kehinde said. "tell me, what is the plan of that bastard Tristan? Why is he after the brotherhood?"
"I don't know" Kim said, "and if I did, do you think I would tell you?"
"Your loyalty is admirable but you are on the wrong side" Kehinde said, holding a gun.
Kim gulped but continued talking. "Wrong side? You guys are murderers. You killed Mr. Effah for no good reason, you are greedy assholes!" she yelled.
"Enough! Tell me about Tristan, that is all I need to know. I don't need you to preach to me" Kehinde said cocking his gun.
Kim pursed her lips and remained silent. Kehinde stared at her displeased.
"Very well then" Kehinde said, "I have other ways of getting the truth. Since Tristan refused to come and see me, I have no use for you. Do you have any last wishes?"
Kim closed her eyes and cried silently. "Let me do it dad, I wasted a lot of time on her after all" Seun said evilly and Kehinde tossed him the gun. Seun walked in front of Kim and she looked at him.
"I hope you go to hell you bastard and suffer for all eternity" Kim cursed him angrily.
"Don't misunderstand. You are the one going to hell" Seun retorted and cocked the gun only for him to hear voices and smell smoke.
Everyone in the room looked confused. "Is that...smoke? Where is it coming from?" Kehinde asked alarmed.
Two men ran in. "Sir! There is a fire. We are trying to put it out but it has grown so large."
"Dammit. I am just going to kill this bitch and get it over with." Seun snapped and pointed his gun at Kim but the face covered guy suddenly kicked his hands and the gun fell to the floor. Seun looked up alarmed.
The face covered guy kicked the gun to a corner and shot the other men. He quickly grabbed a shocked Kim up and pulled her behind a wall before Seun, Kehinde and the other men he hadn't shot began firing.
Kim gasped in shock when the face covered guy removed his mask. It was Iyke. She exclaimed, "Iyke?!"
"Good to see you Kimberly" Iyke said and began shooting.
"What's happening?" Kim asked.
"We have to get out of here before the fire spreads. Come on. Stay close and stay behind me" Iyke said and grabbed her hand. Kim decided to trust him and followed running to the right away from the shooting site.
"Get them! Dammit!" Seun yelled and the thugs followed Iyke and Kim. Seun ran after them just as a man wearing a suit came in from the left. He faced Mr. Kehinde.
