||Archer's POV||
I woke up to a few soft knocks at my door.
"Come in.." I said groggily, turning over in bed to face the door.
Soon the door opened and there was Abbie standing in the small doorframe.
She was smiling so brightly, I guess she liked my misery.
When she realized I was staring at her she shifted her feet. "Well um- I thought today we could go out and explore the castle gardens! It would be really fun, and maybe we can have a picnic!" She explained anxious, yet excitedly?
Has this woman completely forgotten about our argument?! Im not gonna give in so easily.
"Yeah no thanks, picnics really aren't my thing." I replied turning over in bed so I could face away from her.
"Oh.. um we could do something else if you want..?" I could basically hear her feet tapping on the floor, was she really this worried? She just playing innocent.
"You know you are pretty stupid! Can't you tell I don't want to talk to you Abbie?!" I yell sitting up in bed.
When I look over at her I can see the small glistening drops of tears starting to pool on her eyelids.
"Eh-heh y-yeah I should h-have read the room b-better..." She said sniffing a little. "Hey um- yeah I'm just gonna give you your privacy then.."
"Mhm."
After she heard my reply she quickly turned and walked out, I could practically hear her little sobs she was trying to hold in while walking down the hallway.
But seriously picnic. She didn't even apologize.
||Abbie's POV||
I can't believe he just yelled at me..
Had he not liked my letter?
I was open and vulnerable..
He probably thinks Im pathetic too?!
"Um lady Alice..?"
"What?!" I yelled turning around to see it was a very scared Michelle. "Oh- um yes what is it?"
"I- well.. your parents want to schedule the marriage..." She said anxiously trying to avoid my eyes.
"On with it, what date."
"The 26th..."
"That's in 2 days?! Are they out of their minds we only had our first meeting 4 days ago and now they want to rush it?!" I screamed in disbelief.
"Miss.."
"No you are dismissed Michelle, go." I said storming back the other way down the hallway.
"But ma'am!"
"I'm not listening!"
I had soon made it to the balcony at the end of the Corredor, and I rested my elbows on the railing, looking off down onto rose gardens that were positioned on the front lawn.
"This is going to be an interesting two days..."
