~Chapter 4
                          
I met up with the boys at rehearsal. Tonight, we had to do a performance on the show. 
                          
"Hey," I said walking in with my usual coffee. Liam nodded his head at me as I sat down next to him. "How'd it go last night?" 
                          
"Fine, nothing happened." Liam said. 
                          
"Good." I said taking another sip of my coffee. I almost spit it out when I saw Niall walk in. He had a hat on, lowered to cover his eye, but I could see it in plain sight. It was black and blue. 
                          
"Hey..." Niall said. 
                          
"What in bloody hell happened to your eye?" Louis asked. 
                          
"Niall can I talk to you?" I said getting up. I walked over by a random plant where nobody could hear us. He followed me over, with his hat still down.  
                          
"What happened last night?" I asked tipping his hat up so I could see his eye. He hit my hand away and put it back down. 
                          
"Nothing." He said looking down. 
                          
"Niall, it's kind of hard to hide that black eye." I said forcing him to tell the truth.  
                          
"Jordan didn't get his way so-" 
                          
"He hit you?!" I asked cutting him off. 
                          
"Well, yeh." Niall admitted. 
                          
"How could he do that to you?!" I shrieked.  
                          
"Harry, please, its nothing."  
                          
"It's not nothing.." I muttered as we walked back to the boys.
                          
"Is everything okay?" Liam asked as I sat down next to him. 
                          
"Yea, good look-out last night mate." I said hitting his arm. 
                          
"Ow!" He said holding it.

"Welcome back to the xfactor!" I heard as the cameras started to roll. We were about to perform and I was a nervous wreck. I was hoping, eventually, I would get over my stage fright. 
                          
"Harry are you alright?" Niall asked plopping down next to me. 
                          
"Yea, I'm fine."  
                          
"Well, you're shaking!" He said pointing to my hands. "Are you nervous?" 
                          
"A little.." I admitted. It was more then a little, I was extremely nervous.  
                          
"You shouldn't be." He said putting his hand on my shoulder. "You're one of the best singers I've ever heard."  
                          
"One direction!" The announcer called out and we walked out on stage 
                          
We sang our song, and the judges said we did good which made me feel great, until I saw who was waiting outside of stage. 
                          
"Niall!" Jordan shouted. Niall looked uneasy, and scared. 
                          
"Jordan..." He mumbled. "I thought I told you things between us were going to...erhm...slow down a bit." 
                          
So Niall broke up with him? 
                          
"But nialler-" 
                          
"Niall doesn't want you here." I cut in stepping in front of him. 
                          
"Is that true Niall?" Jordan asked, turning off his sweet guy act. 
                          
Niall cowered behind me. I looked back at him and shot him a smile, letting him know Jordan couldn't hurt him. 
                          
"Whatever.." Jordan said walking off. 
                          
I turned to face Niall and saw him tearing up. I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug. He hugged me back and cried into my chest. 
                          
"Are you gonna be okay Niall?" I asked. 
                          
"Yeh, thanks Harry." He said wiping the tears off his cheek... 
                          
"See you guys later.." I said walking out the door and off to my beat up car.

"Hi honey." My mom said when I got home, kissing me on the cheek. "I saw you on tv, I'm so proud of you!"  
                          
"Thanks mum, goodnight." I said going up to my room. 
                          
I lied down in my bed and the first thought I had was about Niall. It hurt me to see him cry, but I'm glad I was there to comfort him. What did I feel for him? I don't like guys...perhaps Niall's changed that? No. No way, I'm not gay I swear... He's just my best mate, and there's nothing wrong with that, right??
