HARRY's POV

Usually, when I read books I always thought the guy was overreacting in a circumstance like this. But I completely understand now.

"No," I said simply before anyone could do anything. "She's not doing it."

"A dare is a dare, Potter."

Pansy hiccups. She's had too much to drink. "They obviously have something going on. If I were roommates with Ryle then I wouldn't hesitate to take that dare." She shrugged and took another drink of fire whiskey.

That does it. I'm across the room in seconds demanding Alura to get up and let me walk her to her dorm.

"Alura, you're drunk. Let me take you back to your dorm," I said, attempting to convince her.

"I'm pretty sure she can make her own decisions," Ryle says from the other side of the circle.

"She's drunk," I emphasized. "She can't make her own decisions and if she could, she wouldn't choose to kiss you anyway."

Ryle stands up and gets defensive, which makes me step forward to challenge him.

"Is that why you two broke up? Because she kissed me." He smirked and raised a brow.

Multiple people gasped and began whispering to their friends. I sometimes forget that no one knew about our relationship.

"You're lucky I don't knock your fucking teeth out," I said through clenched teeth.

"No one's stopping you. So do it," he challenged.

He asked for it. I draw my wand and hold it underneath his chin. "Back off, Ryle."

Ryle does the same and puts his wand beneath my chin. "Or what?"

I push my wand slightly into his chin. I'm sure it hurts, but if it does, Ryle doesn't show it.

"Okay, okay," someone said from the side of us. "Let's just calm down..."

Fuck this. My wand fell out of my hand as I swung my right hand to Ryle's face. He swallows his blood as his hand touches the place where I hit him. Ryle hits me back in my nose. Hard.

It's probably broken.

As soon as Ryle's fist makes contact with my face, Alura drunkenly stumbled up to us.

"Instead of hurting each other..." She slurs, fading out.

"Alura, now isn't-" I started, trying to get Alura to sit down.

"SHH," she harshly shushed me and put a finger to my mouth. "Instead of hurting each other..." She stopped, hesitating for a moment. "I forgot what I was gonna say-"

Everyone in the circle groans at her for interrupting what they call "entertainment" even though Alura is the only one keeping Ryle and me from killing each other.

"SHH," Alura shushed sternly, shoving her finger to my mouth again even though I wasn't the one groaning at her. "...Okay I'm done." She awkwardly removed her finger from my lips and sat back down.

All it took were the words of Alura for Ryle to knock me off my feet. He punched my jaw again, and I rolled us over to where I was on top of him.

"Don't go near her again!" I shouted as I pinned him to the ground.

Eventually, Draco and Blaise had to drag us off of each other. Daphne made Alura and I go up to her dorm while another one of her friends escorted Ron back to his.

As of now, me, Daphne, and Alura are standing in Daphne's bathroom. Alura is sitting on the counter, still drunk as could be. Daphne is getting her emergency kit out while waiting for an explanation.

"Well? Why were you and Ryle about to kill each other?" she asked as she dabbed an alcohol tissue on one of my cuts.

I winced. "That hurt."

"Good," she replied. "So are you going to just sit there and ignore me? What happened?"

"Ryle is a dick," I scoffed. "He was about to kiss Alura while knowing she was wasted."

Daphne throws the tissue away and replied, "Should've hit him harder. I have to go get my other drunk friends from downstairs. I'll be back soon. There's clothes for Alura on my bed," Daphne said as she left her dorm.

I finished cleaning my injuries and bandaging them after Daphne left. Now I have to handle Alura...

I am still very pissed at her and if I could've gone back and never stepped into this common room to begin with, I would.

"You should get changed. Daphne left something for you," I mumbled, knowing that she probably won't be able to undress or dress herself.

Alura almost falls trying to get down from the counter, but I caught her in time.

For a moment we paused. Her eyes remained on mine and mine hers. After a minute or two, I cleared my throat to interrupt the silence. "Um, do you need help?"

"Probably."

We both left the bathroom. On the bed were a set of Daphne's pajamas and socks.

"Could you take off my necklace?" she asked, clearly uncomfortable that I'm the only one who can do this for her.

"Sure..." Alura turned around as I took in a shaky breath. So I'm taking off a necklace and am about to dress my drunk ex-girlfriend. Could this night get any worse?

A lot of people would have called my actions earlier heroic, but I didn't do it because it was the right thing to do or because I hate Ryle with all of my being. I did it because of one thing: Jealousy.

I'm sorry I haven't uploaded in a while and I come with even more sad news about this story

I'm not discounting it, I can 1000% say that as of now, but I'm thinking about putting it on hold. There's further information as to why I'm not posting on my discussion board. I'm sorry again and I hope to post again soon!

Not edited.
