"Merle. Don't put things into his head." She said as she came to me. She placed her hand on my check and this warm tingling feeling came from it. I leaned into her touch.

"Daryl. Pull the arrow out. Bide your wound. Come back to the farm. Come back to me." She said.

"Why?" I asked.

"You promised me. You promised that you would come back." She said.

"Now get up on your feet, or I will take you on..." Merle said as he started to kick my feet. He then went down and started to move my feet.

Merle's image was soon blurry, and so was Carly. I tried to focus my sight in order to continue to see them, but instead they went away. Their images were switched off with a walker at my boot. I kicked the walker off and reach for my crossbow. It was no use, as the walker had now brought me to the floor.

Ignoring the pain in my side, I rolled over so I was on top and grabbed a stick. I hit it once, and it did nothing. I hit it a second time and the stick snapped. I cussed slightly before I took the stick and stabbed it in the head.

I got off the walker, and tried to catch my breathing. I heard a growl and turned to the water only to see that there was another walker coming towards me. Thinking fast, I pulled the arrow out of my side. The pain was killing me, but I needed to do so. I bit my lip, trying to silence myself as best as I could. Once the arrow was out of my side, I took at a look at the walker to see that he was closer then I thought he was going to be. Hurriedly, I grabbed my crossbow, and put the arrow in my mouth. I tried my best to load my weapon, despite the pain shooting through my body. It was harder then it usually is because of the wound. When the string finally snapped into place, I loaded the arrow. The walker pushed me back, and with all the pain and the weakness I felt, I couldn't push it off of me. I aimed my crossbow the best that I could at the walker's head and pulled the trigger.

I was now lying on my back breathing heavy. I wanted to lay here and rest, try to regain my strength before I set off back to the farm. I knew that I couldn't do that. I needed to get back to the farm, to everyone. Back to Carly. I sat up and I mended my wound. I got hungry so I ate one of the squirrels I had caught earlier. I cut the ears off the walkers I just killed and made a necklace with them. I put it around my neck and I looked at my new obstacle, the cliff. I tried my best to climb it but was slowly losing energy.

"Come on baby brother." I heard Merle called out. I looked up and saw him. Standing next to his side was Carly. She rolled her eyes at Merle and bent down, slightly hanging over the cliff.

"Daryl, come on. Your almost here. Grab my hand." She said to me. I tried to reach it but when I got close she disappeared.

"Don't listen to her. She is playing you." Merle said.

"No I'm not!" She yelled at him and hit him over the head. She turned back to me and smiled. "I'm right here, Daryl and I don't want to be anywhere else." I got this energy at her words and grabbed onto the top of the hill. I heard Merle's laugh booming as I struggled to pull myself up.

"I'll see you at the farm Daryl." Carly said. I tried to pull myself up fast, to keep her from going, to keep her here with me. Only she was walking fast, and soon disappeared from my sight. Merle stayed and taunted me some more. I finally got the energy I needed and pulled myself over the hill.

Only, when I got up there, Merle wasn't there anymore. "Yeah, you better run!" I yelled. I started to make my way back to the farm. Carly, I am coming. I am keeping my promise to you.

Carly's P.O.V.

"WALKER!" Andrea yelled. We all looked at where she was pointing and we saw something limping.

"I bet I can nail it from here." Andrea said taking the sniper.

"No Hershel said he wanted to deal with the walkers." I said.

"It's just one, we can handle it and take it down quietly." Shane said and Rick nodded.

Glenn, Rick, and Shane went to take care of the walker.

"Andrea, they have it. Leave it alone." Dale said.

"They stopped. Why?" I asked. Then you hear a shot ringing in the air and the walker fell.

"NO! NO!" Rick yelled. Something wasn't right. I ran to them and saw that they were carrying it. When I got closer, I saw it was Daryl.

"DARYL!!" I cried. "Is he dead?" I asked.

"No she just grazed him." Rick said. A flash of relief filled me as we started to walk back to the farm.

"Oh my god! Is he okay?" Andrea asked. Everyone just ignored her and went to Daryl.

"Carly. I didn't see his face, there was a glare and I didn't know it was him." She said as she held my arm. I got angry.

"WELL MAYBE IF YOU BOTHERED TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SAY SOMETHING LIKE "DO NOT SHOOT" YOU SHOULD LISTEN! YOU ARE LUCKY THAT YOU JUST GRAZED HIM AND THAT HE IS NOT DEAD, BECAUSE SO HELP ME GOD, IF DARYL DIED, YOU BEST BE PRAYING THAT YOU KILLED ME INSTEAD OF HIM!!!" I yelled as I stomped away and ran inside to see Daryl.
