Surrounded by darkness I laid still. I couldn't lift my head, arms, or legs. Every limb felt as if heavy weights were sitting on each one. I could here faint whispers and I struggled to look around. There was just nothing...
I could hear the whispers getting closer and closer until that was all that filled my head. I couldn't even hear my own thoughts, just a million sentences whispered at the same time.
I started to feel panicked the longer this went on. I felt the sweat pouring off of me and I was so cold. So cold...
The whispers went quiet and all I could hear was my heavy breath. I tried to calm my breathing, but suddenly a tornado of fire raged around me. I tried to move as it got closer and started burning my skin. I still couldn't move and a shrill scream overtook me and...
I immediately sat up in my bed, my hand over my heart. I was breathing so heavily and my heart was pounding out of my chest. I tried to calm down and then felt the pain on my arms. I struggled out of my bed and when I stood, I fell straight to the ground. My legs were in extreme pain and I couldn't get up. I crawled in agony towards the lightswitch and reached up to turn it on. I wish I would have just left it off so I didn't have to see what had happened to me.
The first thing I saw were my arms. They were completely covered in first and second degree burns. Small blisters were beginning to form and the pain was somehow more excruciating with the light on. I then rolled up my pants as fast as my arms would allow.
Just blood and burned skin covered from my thighs to my ankles. Was this dream real? How am I burned this badly from a nightmare? I screamed from the shock and pain and soon had knocking on my door. I couldn't open it from the pain I was in, but luckily it was unlocked. Tsu came flying in and saw me laying on the floor.
"(Y/n)! What happened?!"
"Please, please! Go get E, then Aizawa." Tears were streaking down my face. Tsu looked panicked and immediately left. A few minutes later E and Bakugo came running in. They both dropped to their knees at my sides and with out hesitation gently picked me up, making sure I was securely in E's arms. Bakugo ran out and E followed him with me. Dennis was standing at the elevator with his arms holding the doors open. I couldn't hear anything anymore. Just complete silence. I could see their mouths moving, but nothing was registering in me as to what they were saying.
I knew I was in shock.
The doors opened on the bottom floor and Aizawa was holding the front door open as recovering girl was walking through. He pointed at E who was still carrying me and pointed to one of the dining tables. Bakugo and Denki moved the chairs out of the way and E gently laid me on top of it. He stayed by my head as Recovery Girl's gentle touch examined my legs.
I could slowly start hearing again and everyone was silent trying to hear Recovery Girl's mumbles that she was saying to herself.
She walked up to my head and began speaking.
"(Y/n), how did this happen?"
"I- ahh! I have no idea!"
"I know you are in pain my dear, but anything you can give me will help."
"I-fuck. I- woke up like this!"
"This happened while you were asleep?"
"Yes. I- wait. I was having... a nightmare. I was being burned in it by a.... I was surround by fire... not my fire."
"Shota, could you please get me some damp towels from the kitchen please." He walked off and she directed her attention at me. "I can heal you. It's going to be painful and it won't look pretty for awhile. I can only get you to a partial heal, but you should be able to walk with only some pain afterwards. We will have to clean the wounds first."
I nodded and then looked up at E who was directly staring in my eyes. Tears were welling up in the corners, but it looked like he was doing everything in his power to hold them in.
"Sweetie, this is going to hurt a little. Boys, please hold her down if she can't herself." She laid a damp rag across one of the burns on my leg. She must have some sort of alcohol cleaner or something because it burned so fucking bad. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I tried to stay as still as possible.
Cleaning up my legs felt like a century long project. When she was finally done, Recovery Girl healed my legs up to where they were scabed over. She got a pain assessment from me, then sent me to go back to bed. I looked at the clock before the boys and I got into the elevator and it was 3am.
Once we were on our floor, E sent Bakugo and Denki back to their rooms and he helped me to mine. He got me in my bed and then shut the lights off... but he never left. Without any conversation, he get into my bed and positioned me to lay on his chest.
"I can't leave you alone can I? Not even if I'm in the same building. I don't care what you say, or Aizawa says. I'm not leaving you alone at night anymore until we figure out what is going on. I'm tired of seeing you hurt and not being able to do anything, it's not manly at all that I can't protect you. I love you so incredibly much and..."
Recovery Girl gave me some pain medication so I could fall asleep easily and they kicked in half way through E talking to me....
