Y/N hopped onto his bed after a nice warm shower.
I wonder if Chaewon ah is ready.
Y/N pulled his phone out just in time to accept the call.
"Hey, I'm surprised you wanted to video call."
"Am I not allowed to talk to you face to face?"
"That's not it. It's just- Last time I asked to video call, you said no and called me instead."
"I was too self conscious back then."
"That was two weeks ago."
Chaweon propped her phone up, "Whatever."
"You're working on homework?"
"Why wouldn't I? I have nothing better to do."
"Talk to me."
"I can talk to you while I do my homework."
Y/N stood up and walked to his desk, "I guess I should work on my homework as well."
"Good idea."
Y/N pulled out a few papers from his backpack and spun a pencil in his hand.
"What should I do first?"
"Do your math homework first. Then, by the time I finish these two assignments, we should be able to work on our physics homework together."
"Two assignments?"
"Yeah."
"Are you saying you can finish two assignments before I can finish one?"
"You only have one?"
"I finished one in class."
"Oh, then take your time on the math. I know you need it."
Y/N looked up to see Chaewon smirking.
"Ya."
Chaewon giggled, "Let's start working. I want to finish this stuff early so I can start my weekend early."
"Okay."
Y/N paced through each problem glancing up every now and then to look at his best friend.
God... it's been two years already, and we're still friends. I never would have expected this to happen. At the same time, it's been about a year since I noticed my feelings for her as well. I think I'm going to confess today.
"Y/N!"
Y/N blinked, "Y-Yes?"
"You were spacing out. I was asking if you finished your assignment yet."
