Zoya was sitting in her room, curled up on the bed. She didn't want to leave the room and face anyone. Suddenly, the door slammed open, making Zoya flinch. Aditya entered the room and he pinched the tip of his nose, trying to control his anger.
"Wha... What happened? Why are so angry?"
She stuttered when she felt his angry gaze on her. Though he had been angry at her previously too, but this was the first time that she felt so scared.
"What do you need to know? It's not as if I will say something and you will accept your mistake, your faults."
"But what's wrong? Where is Myra?"
"She is with Maa. You anyways don't care about her."
She looked at him in shock. Her cheeks still had dried tears but he wasn't affected by it.
"What are you saying?"
"Ask this to yourself. Sometimes I felt that you not bearing a child would have been better."
Zoya looked at him in shock as tears started streaming down her cheeks again. Her lips trembled because of crying and she wanted to speak something. But hearing something like this from Aditya was heartbreaking.
"You were never a good wife to me. Heck! You were not even a good daughter in law to my Parents. That is the reason you keep forgetting about their medications."
"He is right, Ammi. I always wanted you to be with me but you were always busy. You didn't even have time for me."
Zoya frantically nodded in a no when she heard her 8 years old daughter. She loved Myra with all her heart! She loved her unconditionally.
"Myra, I am so sorry baby. I thought you enjoyed your Dadu and Dadi's company."
"That was because they had always been with me. Even Paa used to stay with me but you were never there."
"Baby, please don't say like this. You are my everything."
"I never thought so, Ammi."
Zoya wasn't able to control her tears when she saw her baby talking to her like that. Was she really a terrible Mother?
"Appi, I am sorry to say this but even when Ammi and Abbu loved you more than they loved me, that doesn't mean that I was not broken when they died. I was as shattered as you but you didn't care about me. I agree that you were pregnant but so was I. I even had a miscarriage, Appi. But still you didn't care about me."
"No! Noor, you are my baby sister. I really love you."
"You don't! All you cared about is that you wanted to make Abbu proud of you. You were living in the memories of a dead person that you even forgot to look after your own daughter."
