"Milady," you said softly, not wishing to startle her.
                          
The Queen turned around  to see you in the doorway, offering you a smile, glad to have you there.  She gestured for you to enter her chambers.
                          
"Do close the door behind you," she stated.
                          
You did as you were  told, pushing the door closed so that the two of you were left in her  lavish chambers alone, the way you both liked it.
                          
Anne was the second wife  of King Henry VIII, but she had little love or care for the man. He  offered her a step up in the world but he cared not for the woman he was  married to so she didn't feel as though she should care for him either.  All he wanted was a son and seen as she birthed a daughter, Elizabeth,  almost a year ago and had not fallen pregnant again, he begun to doubt  that she would give him what he wanted. He had always sought attention  from other women, he had done since before his marriage to Catherine,  but Anne didn't see the point in being faithful to a man whom was not  faithful to her. It certainly wasn't a traditional marriage, nor was  there any love to be found between the two. You had become Anne's  favourite mistress. You knew she had slept with several other people but  the two of you had a closer relationship than just sex.
                          
"You asked for me?" You smiled, toying with the ribbon that tied your apron around your neck.
                          
"My husband isn't going  to be back for a few hours, so I thought it may be nice for you to  accompany me on a walk. We do tend to use most of our time together  amongst my sheets, some fresh air may be nice," she chuckled. "Although I  won't be against a little bit of fun with you."
                          
You rolled your eyes at  the woman who had taken your heart. She was a unique woman and you cared  for her more than you thought you would, if only she wasn't married to  the King and your relationship had to be hidden from everyone.
                          
"You know it is always  far more than a little bit, Anne," you smirked. "We certainly could go  for a walk and then we can come back for something a little more  mature?"
                          
She nodded her head, standing from her seat. "The best of both worlds."
