"Fal? Fal? Fallon, pick up the phone!" I screamed through the phone.

I knew something was bothering me from the day I heard the constant whispering and the distant footsteps passing by every now and then in the nights and actually seeing that familiar face walking in the street without a care in the world.

I diall Fallon's number again just to hear it going to voicemail. I let out a frustrated sigh and just as I was going to type out a text to Fallon I heard the doorbell ringing. It wasn't even seconds later that I felt my own heart skipping beats after just hearing the doorbell echo over and over again. In a matter of seconds I'm already walking down the stairs, clutching my phone in my now sweaty hands making my way to the door. My eyes go wide when I open the door and find that it is indeed my mother standing right there with that familiar devilish smile spread across her red coated lips.

"Surprised?" Her accent is still so familiar and so much alive from what it was.

"M-mom?" I stutter still not believing that my violent, murderous mother is standing right there in front of me.

"Is anyone home?" She walks past me into the house. "Hmm that's odd. Seems like you're alone?" She turns to face me. Oh no.

"Why did you come here?" I try to keep my voice as firm as possible even though I'm frightened as hell.

"Aw sweetie...it's been so long. Don't you want to spend some time with your mommy?" She fake pouts. How'd she go from never talking to me to actually talking to me.

"Mom, I know what you're up to and don't think just because of this act you're putting I'm not gonna believe it. Just go. You're not supposed to be here" I say.

"Well, if that's how you're going to be..." she starts walking closer to me. "You still haven't learnt your lesson..so I'm going to do you a favour by teaching you a lesson" she doesn't look at me but keeps her eyes on the floor.

"I'm out of here" I say and open the door but my mom was fast enough to slam it, getting a few of my fingers caught. I screamed at the pain and soon there was blood dripping on the floor.

"That's what you get for thinking you're smart!" She laughs evilly.

I held my hand with the other as if that's going to make the pain go away but it just keeps getting worse. She then pulls out a knife from her pocket and I gasp and she laughs.

"This is going to hurt just a wee little bit" she warns as if that's going to do any good. She wraps her arm around my neck trapping me and I try my best to get out of her grip but her hand is wrapped too tight almost choking me.

"Let go of me!" I manage to say but she just tightens her grip even more, making me cough.

"Ah, ah now if you just-" I screamed when I felt the knife prick my neck.

"Help! Somebody please!" I screamed as loud as I could but I couldn't get myself out of her grip because of the knife in her hand.

"No!" I awoke to only me in my bed breathing heavily. "Just a dream" I said to myself slowly calming down.

When I looked over at the digital clock the time read 5:48. Graduation is at 1. I lay back on my bed trying to fall asleep but I can't seem to fall asleep probably because the weird dream woke me up. I run my hands through my hair and put it in a messy bun and get out of bed. I slip my legs onto the flip flops and wash my face and brush my teeth and go downstairs.

I'm still not over the dream from earlier and confused cause why am I having a nightmare on my graduation day? I grab the broom because one thing I've realised is cleaning keeps my mind out of things for quite a while plus it'll give me enough time to think of how to tell Edward about getting accepted to Cardiff.
