Chapter 01

"Scarecrow, oh scarecrow..."

"Gav!

"Ate Glea, it's bad to exit my teammates while they're struggling to win this game!"

"Gravxon! Our eldest sister, Ate Glea, yelled at our 7-year-old brother, who was playing computer games.

I sigh.

She didn't even give my other classmates a chance to respond, despite the fact that they raised their hands. Her undivided attention was entirely focused on me.

"Okay brother, follow me!" She happily exclaimed.

"Scarecrow,  oh scarecrow..."

"Lonely you must be..."

"Forced to scare away..."

And we all know he isn't crying.

Ate Glea rolled her eyes as she went to my brother, creasing his back.

Ate said, shooking her head.

"Sabi mo yan sa kanila!"

Of course, we know him too well, and the fact that he isn't good at memorizing would surely embarrass him in front of the crowd and all the people who adored him for being my mother's only son, the principal of our school.

A lot of people have high expectations of him, such as mom, Ate Glea, who is extremely good at speaking and a woman full of wisdom, Ginger, who could be called the family's black sheep but has the best in leadership, and me, who is always doing well in academics and is always on the honors. But my younger brother is different, he doesn't even recognize familiar words, which explains how bad he is at poetry.

We also know why he was entered into these competitions. He's the principal's son, so who wouldn't join him? After all, all they care about is their own pride.

I looked at them who were looking at me. They're telling me as if I should comfort him.

I stood up and stand right infront him. "That's fine, Gav. But I think atleast memorize the title up first? So may ibubuga ka parin?" I said.

His face was so bad and after hearing it from me his face had become more sad. Somehow it helped right? I'm not the kind of person to help comfort with.

So maybe no?

"Langya ka talaga, Glai!" Sigaw ni Ginger sakin, she was about to pull my hair when she stopped midway realizing i do not like being touched by the hair.

I'm kind. Yes... but I became a wild dragon whose ready to spit fire balls when someone could even touch a single strand of my hair and I do hate it when someone uses my cardigans even they asked permission. I just don't.
