Sophia
Okay, I never thought that I would end up sneaking onto my own property. Grandpa was behind me crouching low to the ground while I walked in front of him. We already passed several patrolmen, but thankfully we avoided them.
"I'm not sure about this Sophia," grandpa whispered behind me nervously.
I smiled at him. "Don't worry! Mom will be excited, especially once you explain everything."
He sighed, but still looked doubtful. We were close to the house, and I wanted them to get to meet grandpa and understand what he was going through and welcome him with open arms. I don't want him hurt.
We were hiding behind the garage at the moment, and I was just waiting for the guard, one of my friends, Josh, to move away from the front door. Finally he did and started walking around the porch. I looked back at my grandpa and smiled.
"Alright, here we go," I said.
He nodded and wiped his forehead clean of sweat. I took his hand and we quickly walked to the front door. Please let mom be here! Please don't let anyone attack him!
I slowly opened the door and poked my head inside to see my mom asleep on the couch. Dad wasn't around and neither was Charlie or Tommy, and I felt a little guilty for not telling them I was home, but my brain was hurting and I didn't want to use the link.
I pulled grandpa inside and his eyes instantly teared up when he saw my mom. I quickly closed the door behind him and walked over to mom. I'm going to shout at Charlie later; it was way too easy to get into the house. I knelt down next to the couch and shook her shoulder a little. She slowly opened her eyes and she looked awful. She had bags under her eyes and her face was red. I was only gone for an afternoon and a night. She couldn't have been too worried about me!
"Sophia?!" Mom gasped, sitting up and waking up instantly.
I smiled. "Hi mom."
She pulled me into a hug and I hugged her back. Mom was crying on my shoulder and I smiled at her. Suddenly her crying stopped and I pulled back to see she was staring at grandpa. I smiled and let her go. I walked over to grandpa and pulled him closer.
"Mom, I believe you know who this is."
She continued to stare at him as she stood up. She was surprised to say the least, but there was also sadness and anger in her eyes. I gripped his hand harder, but he let go as mom quickly hugged him. I was probably just as surprised at him.
"Daddy?" she quietly asks. "Is it really you?"
He hugged her back. "Yes it is, and I'm so sorry for everything that's happened! Please forgive me! I don't even know what I wanted to do after your mother died! I went crazy and I'm afraid I hurt you and your family in the process! I'm so sorry Ira!" he sobbed. So much for keeping it together.
"It's okay!" Mom cried, pulling away from him and smiling with tears pouring down her face. "I never would've thought that you would do something like harm us."
He started crying even more. I'm so glad mom's happy to see him because I know grandpa's really happy to see her. Mom smiles at me and pulls me into a hug with grandpa. It's such a sweet moment that I almost don't hear the door open and then a lot of talking stop. But since I do, I freeze and don't move a muscle.
"Sophia?" Michael's voice asked quietly.
I slowly break from my hug and smile at my mate. He instantly embraces me in a bone crushing hug, but then he stops hugging me and he kisses me! In front of my parents! And grandpa! And my siblings! I don't care, but my lungs were about to burst!
