Getting Jennie's mum on her side was a massive win for Lisa, but she also knew she still had a long way to go. Her next objective was to meet with Jennie herself, but this wouldn't be easy. Her previous behaviour already meant she was treading on thin ice, and she didn't want to find herself with a restraining order before she even had time to plead her case.

That's why, to achieve her next goal, she had planned to meet with Rosie and Jisoo. Something that was necessary anyway for Lisa's road to recovery; she knew she owed them an apology. When she had called, Jisoo hadn't even hesitated to invite her over. Lisa knew it was more than she deserved after her behaviour, but she knew her friends were pure-hearted. She wasn't going to take advantage of that again.

Lisa sat in her friend's living room, waiting patiently as they brought refreshments to the table. The couple sat on the sofa across from her, the coffee table in between them.

"We're glad you've come over, Lisa," Rosie began with a warm smile. "You're looking a lot better."

"I feel a lot better too. I have so much I want to say to you guys, but first, I need to apologise." Jisoo and Rosie listened attentively. "The way I acted with you both was inexcusable. I was in a bad place, but that doesn't matter. I never should have behaved in the way that I did."

Rosie nodded. "We've already forgiven you, Lisa. We know who you are and know you never would have had a malicious intention towards us. You weren't in your right mind, but you're here now." Rosie smiled warmly and Jisoo nodded in agreement with her girlfriend.

"I appreciate that, and I'm grateful I didn't lose you both as friends. But that's not the only thing I have to apologise for. For over two years straight, I pretty much abandoned our friendship, not bothering to check up with you for anything or even caring about what you were doing. I value your friendship a lot more than that, and I won't ever do it again."

"We appreciate that, Lisa," Jisoo spoke now. "But we want to apologise too." Lisa furrowed her brows in confusion. "It's true you didn't check up on us, but we knew you were going through a tough time and after a while, we just gave up trying to check up on you. We should have kept trying. Maybe if we had, it would have made all the difference in the world today. We also feel partially responsible for the situation with Jennie. After a while, she stopped making an effort too, if we had bothered to find out why she might not have felt so alone."

"It's my fault," Lisa affirmed. "I drained her. I wasn't a good girlfriend to her, and it took everything out of her, little by little. She all but cut everyone off and had no other help because of me."

"Whoever's fault it is doesn't matter now," Rosie interjected. "What matters is we're all sorry, and we can move on from it." Lisa and Jisoo both nodded. "Lisa, what's happened in the past few months?"

Lisa chirped up from Rosie's question and clapped her hands together. "Well, not only do I have to apologise to you both, but I also have to thank you." The couple straightened up for what Lisa had to say. "The last time we saw each other. The time I kicked you both out," Lisa added the last bit in a low, guilty voice, "you guys gave me a wake-up call, especially what you said to me, Jisoo."

"What did I say?" Jisoo "s face scrunched as she struggled to recall.

"You said I could never win Jennie back if I didn't fix the thing that made me lose her in the first place."

"Lisa--"

"So that's what I did." Lisa didn't hear Jisoo and carried on. "I fixed myself. I went to rehab, got clean, did the therapy, and I'm better. I got better and fixed myself so I could win Jennie back." Lisa smiled widely at the couple in front of her despite them not returning the expression.
