"So, what do you want to do after this?" You asked your boyfriend , your face stuffed with food.
"Actually I'd rather be working on my latest invention right now" he said in a frustrated tone as he rapped his fingers on the table, waiting for you to finish your dinner.
"Aww come on! Cut me some slack, I slaved over that stove for like an hour to make this dinner for us"
"Yes, I guess so" he replied as he unwillingly tucked into the food you had made for both of you.
"Wile E, you're overworked, come one, let's go out" you smiled.
"Are you joking? I'm so close to making the gadget of this century! Road runner never saw this coming!"
" Come on, you'll be more refreshed, your brains are fried"
"No they're not!" He argued, clearly offended at this remark.
"Come on" you said as you grabbed his paw and took him out.
"I don't want to"
"Come on Wile E, you have all the time in the world for that, can't I have just one night with my boyfriend?"
"Not really"
" Oh come on!!! "
"Alright" he finally gave into your demands and decided to go out with you.
It was a nice evening, not too dark and nice and cool. You took him out to the city.
"So, where to first?" He asked, looking around the place.
"I'm thinking, how about dinner?"
" we already ate! Surely you're not hungry again! "
"A little" you whispered as he rolled his eyes.
"Come on then, how about this ice cream store?"
" Oh, yes! " you replied with a look on your face that only a little kid would get to see an ice cream store.
You were spoiled for choice as you gazed in awe at all the flavours.
"Oh, so many flavours! What do you think I should have?" You asked him.
" question is, what should you not have? " he replied sarcastically.
"Good idea"
"I didn't literally mean that!"
" huh " you just ordered your favourite. "What do you want Wile E?"
" plain vanilla"
"Plain vanilla? Oh come on!"
" With caramel sauce, sprinkles and a huge flake " he sighed.
"That's more like it!"
He left hurriedly before you decided to buy anymore.
"I must say, it's not so bad actually!"
" See? I told you you'd enjoy yourself"
"Yes. Perhaps you're right"
"Of course I am, come on!"
" Where are we going now? "
"I dunno, why don't you pick?"
He looked around for a moment before something caught his eye: an acme store.
"Ah, exactly what I needed!" He said as he grabbed your hand and dragged you in.
"Oh hurry up!" You groaned, half an hour later as you were still standing there waiting for him to finish ordering.
"Alright, I'm done. Would you like a new outfit?" He offered.
" Really? "
"Of course! "
You both went to the nearest clothing store to find something nice for you. You tried on a few outfits before eventually deciding on one.
"I can't put into words just how stunning you look, my dear"
" Aww" you blushed as you felt his gaze on you.
"Actually I can. Although the moon and Sun and stars may shine brightly, none of them are as radiant and eye catching as you are"
You giggled. He really did have a way with words. Behind his egomaniacal self he could actually be pretty sweet.
"Thanks. Do you want to get some pictures taken of us before watching the city lights?"
" Why not? " he smiled lovingly at you before you reached for his paws and kissed him.
