The sky was grey with clouds as every possible ounce of sunshine was obstructed by them, thunder and lightning were regular visitors. Everyone has a window to their past, some see a beautiful twinkling sky while some see shady clouds.

But what most of us fail to understand is that eventually everything scatters around and that's how the light gets in. The very same situation was with Taehyung who was sitting in the car, looking up at the sky recalling the worst things.

FLASHBACK

It was a bright sunny day on Jeju island everyone had came with their families for a picnic and to spend time with each other. There was an open garden where everyone was and in the midst of all this was little Taehyung, drawing in his book.

"Taehyung-ah, come on let us play with this ball" a voice called out for him, it was his dad. Taehyung had a huge smile on his face as he left behind his drawing equipment and hurried towards his father.

"You two don't dirty your clothes, we haven't bought any extra." Someone said from behind, it was a mother who had been sitting beside taehyung all the time adoring his art.

"Don't worry dear, we've got this!" his dad assured her while passing the ball to Taehyung. With his tiny little hands, he saved the ball from falling down and just as he was about to celebrate his victory he lost his balance and tripped over. Making the ball fall and even himself.

The little boy gazed at the ground for a minute and in the very moment, large droplets of tears came flushing in from his eyes. He was crying his eyes out, his parents came rushing towards him and picked him up.

"Oh honey, it is okay don't cry," his mother said while the boy had tightly clasped his hands around her shoulders. She kept patting his back until his crying halted and finally he calmed down.

After some time the family had sat down to have lunch and taehyung had already forgotten about the incident, just looking at what will mother give him to eat. While the wait was going on Taehyung's dad called him to the other side to show him something.

"Son today I'll give you something and you must understand its importance," saying this he pulled out a doll from his back and placed it on the ground.

"You know, this is a daruma doll my colleague had bought from Japan." Taehyung was amusingly looking at it with doe eyes, inspecting every little detail about it.

His father tried pushing the doll down but it used to come back to its upright position as it was weighted at the bottom, now this was something Taehyung had seen for the first time, as usual, it amazed him.

"Woah, how did the doll do that?!" Taehyung exclaimed, getting his hands on the doll and he carried it up in the air.

"Why? Because the doll believes in itself and not in the opponent's power to bring it down," He took the doll and again placed it on the ground. "Look no matter how many times you push it, it'll always stand up." He slowly took taehyung in his arms while his little arms held the doll.

"Remember if you fall seven times. Get up eight-time. But never stay down, trust and believe yourself and no one else". Taehyung was looking at his father admiring everything he says.

"But you and mom are always there for me why would anyone harm me?" he asked which left his father mum.

"Time will teach you everything honey-bun and yes we will always be there for you!". Mother said breaking the silence and slowly crouching down near the father-son duo. The three of them chuckled and they all shared a family hug.

Always be there for you.

Lie

They lied.

The vehicle stopped outside the funeral home and three people got out of the car making their way towards the building, Taehyung was mute as ever, he hadn't spoken a word since the car journey, he was in front leading the way.

At the entrance they were supposed to silence your mobile phones to not cause any disturbance, Yoongi and Seokjin did the same but Taehyung didn't pay any attention as he had left his phone in the car.

They entered the house and made their way towards the shelf, slowly passing through every corridor they finally reached. Multiple photos and letters were kept beside the funeral urn, most of the photos were family pictures including Taehyung, his mother and his father.

When they left Taehyung was completely broken he had options either he could shed tears that they left or smile because they lived. He could either close his eyes and pray that they'll come back or open his eyes and see all the memories they have left behind.

The grief is like an ocean, it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn how to swim.

On the other side of the city, DanOh was busy still clearing up her doubts about studies unaware of anything going on with Taehyung. She had thought it was a busy day today and hence he didn't text her 'good morning' which he did every day.

But deep inside it was bothering her, no matter how busy, he never forgot to text her at least once and when she texted him, he had ignored her. Taehyung had never done that before, she knew something was wrong but didn't know how to make her doubt clear.

So she finally decided to directly call him and ask if something is wrong. The ringing was echoing in the silent house and the call was answered.

"Hello Taehyung, I just thought of calling you as you didn't contain-", her words were cut off in between when Hoseok spoke.

"Miss Eun, hello it is me Hoseok, Taehyung's secretary I am surprised he didn't switch off his phone today he does it every time?"

"Today as in? Is there something important going on?" DanOh asked with curiosity as Taehyung didn't tell her anything.

"Oh I thought he might have told you.. its Mr Kim's parent's death anniversary today and he never answers any work-related calls".

DanOh was shocked, why didn't he tell her? Because he thought she might not like seeing him in such a vulnerable state? She may not understand? Oh, how innocent was he, he was afraid.

We hide weaknesses because of a desire to impress. And we desire to impress because we fear weaknesses.

Controlling her tears from not falling her cheeks she shakingly asked Hoseok where were they? Hoseok gave her the location, DanOh wiping off her tears got up to get ready but just before she hung up.

"Miss Eun please don't tell Mr Kim that it was me who told you this. It's just that him not telling you about this definitely would have a reason and he might not like that it's me who told you. Please just don't mention me otherwise I'll lose my job....". Hoseok pleaded and DanOh could just smile a bit witnessing his honesty and hung up.
