I get to the kitchen from being in the living room after hearing my mom call for me "yeah mom?" I ask seeing her dig through the cupboards "I need you to run to the store for me" she says closing it and I furrow my brows "why?" "I need you to get a few snacks, me and your father are inviting a few friends over for a small get together" I scrunch my face hearing 'your father' coming out of her mouth "please Sam? it'll help me so much" she says coming up to me and cupping my cheeks "I guess, but how will I get there? the sun will be down in a few hours and I don't have a drivers license" she hums "you can walk, just go to the liquor its not too far" I nod slowly "okay.." I say hesitantly "you'll be fine, bring your broth-" "no" I cringe "what?" she asks scrunching her brows "don't call Colby my brother please" I say in discomfort at the thought of that. She frowns "well why not?" I just shake my head, my face scrunched up "hm, okay.." she sighs "go get him and go out, okay?" she says patting my shoulders softly and I nod before turning and going up the stairs.
                          
Getting to Colbys room I open the door to reveal him, Jake, and Corey playing games "Colby?" I call as I shut the door behind me and he doesn't awknowledge that I came in and continues to play the game shouting things. I huff and go over to him and sitting infront of him "Colbss" I whine and he hums not looking at me "damn it Corey!" he exclaims "Sam move, your in my way" he says moving his head around my body to get a view of the tv "noo" he groans and pushes me over by the shoulder before going back to the game. I pout crossing my arms as he doesn't even care that I'm here "Colbs?" I question but getting no answer "Colby!" I say getting irritated "what?" he snaps back glancing at me quickly and I roll my eyes muttering things under my breath. A few minutes pass and my mother calls up the stairs "Sam! you need to go now!" I look over at Colby and crawl infront of him again and he shifts his body to see the screen. I turn around so my back is facing him and I slide down, my butt in his face "fuck baby" he grunts and I giggle feeling him put his hand on my bare cheek as I'm wearing booty shorts. He places his other hand on the other cheek and squeezes softly "so big babyboy" he whispers. I gasp feeling him bite my cheek hard, he hums sliding his hands to my hips and pulling me towards him "Colbs" I say with a small voice "mhm?" he hums softly as he sits me in his lap, nuzzling his head in my neck whislt wrapping his arms around my waist. I giggle quietly as he feather small kisses on my neck "Colby" I say seriously and he grips my hips "I have to go" I say "but you just got here" he complains nipping at my ear lobe "my mom wants me to go to the liquor for a few snacks, says shes inviting friends over" I say "and?" "and I have to go before it gets dark" "she can get it herself" I huff ripping myself out of his grip "I have to go" I say getting off the bed "then why'd you come bothering me? you could've just went" I huff and leave the room to get my shoes.
                          
I get back to Colbys room to see Jake and Corey getting up "see you later" they say their goodbyes and the two leave the room "I'm going now" I say and he looks up at me. He cocks a brow and looks me up and down "in that?" I hum "yep, it's not that far of a walk and I don't wanna change into jeans" he walks up to me, a stern look on his face "change" I huff looking down at my outfit booty shorts, and a random cropped shirt "its not that bad" he lets out a small growl and turns away from me and goes into his closet. I furrow my brows and wait to see what he's gonna do, soon enough he comes back his shoes on and a hoodie in hand "put this on" I hum and take the hoodie from him and put it on "goodboy, now lets go" I nod and we leave the room "are we taking your car?" he shakes his head grabbing onto my hand "no, it'll be nice to go on a walk besides its not too far" I nod a small smile on my face.
                          
We leave the house after announcing that we're leaving, once setting foot on the side walk he grabs onto my hand making me smile "your adorable" he blurts and I smile looking up at him to see him already looking at me making the blush coating my cheeks grow deeper "aw darling" he coos and I whine. He grins and gently grabs my chin, tilting my head up and plants a soft kiss on my forehead.
As we approach the liquor a spot an old man in baggy, torn up clothing, a crazy like look in his eyes "c'mere darling" Colby says grabbing my hand and pulling me close to him "who is he?" I ask with a hushed tone "it doesn't matter don't go near him" he says wrapping his arm around me protectivly making my stomach bubble loving the feeling of security he gives me. I eye the suspicious man and notice him talking to himself, scratching at his arms making me furrow my brows and go closer to Colby. He spots me and a creepy toothy grin plasters his face. Colby stops and picks me up and I wrap my arms and legs around him "it's okay darling, I won't let him get to you" I nod nuzzling my head in his neck as he continues to walk.
                          
Soon getting to the liquor his sets me down before opening the door for me and leading me in and coming in close behind. He grabs my hand "what did she want?" he asks and I shrug "chips? I dunno" he hums heading towards the chips and we grab a few bags before I start heading to the counter "hey, baby just wait" I furrow my brows and look back at him "get something" I tilt my head "she only gave me enough for this" he hums "get something, I have money" I nod and look around the store "I don't want anything" he grabs my hand with a slight roll of his eyes and leads me over to the slushies. He grabs a cup and hands it to me "get one, I noticed you eyeing it ever since we stepped inside" I sigh softly and grab the cup from him "hey, don't be like that darling" he ruffles my hair making a giggle slip passed my lips "m' thats better" he hums, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind "the cup is too big" "we're sharing it" he states making me smile "get this one" he says pointing at the red one but I pout already going to fill it up with the blue one "but I want this one" I huff and he chuckles kissing the top of my head "okay darling, go ahead get that one" I grin and fill the large cup up with the blue slushie. 
                          
We get to the counter and place out items on it and the guy scans them and we pay for it before taking the bag and slushie. Leaving I grab onto Colbys hand "will that guy be there again?" I ask and he shrugs "I'm not sure" I nod, looking around for him "who is he? why was he talking to himself like that?" I ask and he sighs softly "he's like a homeless druggie darling, he's been here for years, I don't know what he'll do when you talk to him and I don't want to find out so just stay close whenever we're around this area, okay?" I nod saying a small 'okay' before taking a drink of the slushie and holding it up to him to which he taking it and takes a drink.
Getting home we go inside and he detatches our hands making me frown slightly "mom!" I call switching with Colby so I now have the bag and he hums placing a kiss to my head before I walk away. Getting to the kitchen I see both my mom and Colbys dad in there "here, not sure what you wanted" I say as I place the bag on the island and she hums "thank you sweetie" she says pulling the two chip bags out "so, whats happening tonight?" I hear a deep voice behind me ask making me jump not realizing he had came in and he chuckles seeing me so I send him a playful glare "we're just having a few of Cindys friends over so they can help out with planning the wedding and what-not" Colby hums not saying another word "did you two want to help? I mean young minds like yours can be help-" "no" I cut her off while shaking my head "oh, are you sure?" she asks and I nod "you already have help on their way, you'll be okay without me" I shrug before turning around and leaving the kitchen leaving no more words knowing she'll eventually convince me to help her.
                          
Getting to Colbys room I kick off my shoes and go the the bed "Colbs? when-when are we going to tell them?" I ask with a slight stutter not sure on what he's going to think of it "what do you mean darling?" he asks kicking off his own shoes "y'know.. us" he hums taking off his shirt "I mean, we can't let them get married can we?" he shrugs crawling into the bed "I dunno darling-" "we have to Colbs" he hums "I know, we won't let them we're gonna tell them eventually but not at the moment" I nod crawling into his lap, my back against his chest "I never wanted then to get married darling, I would've thought of something even if we were never a thing" I nod leaning into him "at first I did, only so my mom could be happy but I rather not, I know she's doing it so I can finally have a dad but I haven't had one since I was 10 or younger, I don't need one" I admit and he hums wrapping his arms around me tight "my father isn't the best with relationships and never will be" he mumbles and a silence surrounds us.
                          
"What- what happened to your mom?" I ask, breaking the silence and he tenses "I'll tell you about my dad after" I try and he doesn't say anything "Colbs..?" "no" he says barely audible, taking me out of his lap "Col-" "darling. no." he says soft but stern, not wanting to yell at me but still getting his point across "okay," I sigh and he turns around laying on his side, facing away from me. I frown and crawl over him and slipping into his arms "I'm sorry.." I whisper and he hums holding me tight "no, I'm sorry baby, it's just, I've never opened up about this to anyone and I don't know how to react when she's brought up.. it's hard darling, it really is" I nod running my fingers through his hair "I know you'd like to know and I'll tell you, just not right now, I need just a little more time.. okay?" I nod "it's okay Colbs whenever you want okay?" he hums pulling me close to him "she was amazing" he mumbles his voice cracking, making me frown "shhh, lets just go to sleep, okay?" he nods sniffling a bit "I love you" he chokes out my heart hurting knowing I made him sad, on the verdge of tears "I love you too Colbs" I whisper back placing a kiss to his shoulder.
