"Your family is fucking disgusting. I can't believe they threw you out on the street. And your brother? Fuck him. He barely decides that he wants to be nice when you're already 18? You needed a roof over your head when you were thrown out. Not 5 years later- what the fuck is wrong with him?" Kei seethes and angrily goes around the hotel room, packing my things.I told him everything this morning and he immediately made me take him to the hotel room and now he's gathering my things.
He said that I can't be here anymore and that he isn't allowing my brother to see me. He's insisting on me staying at his house but his mom got mad at him for sneaking me in so how would that work?
"Kei it's fine. I don't want to bother your family- I'm saving up my money from my job so I can get an apartment later." I walk up to him as he grabs my toothbrush out from the bathroom.
"No. You're going with me." He searches the room, grabbing anything that could be mine (and even the things that aren't like hotel conditioner and shampoo.)
"But your mom-"
"Already knows." He turns around to look at me. His expression softens and he leans down to peck my lips. "I texted her on our way here and she's okay with it. When I was little she used to be a foster mom so she's well versed in having an extra kid in the house. Don't worry about it, okay? The only reason she got mad at me for sneaking you in is because she felt disrespected. She didn't mind you being there but she wants to know in case of an emergency. I promise it'll be okay." He pats my head and I gulp.
I'm scared. Living with Kei and his family?
"Plus, you're my girlfriend now. I'm not going to let you get hurt anymore, got it?" He clears the last of everything and throws the bag over his shoulder.
My eyes widen and my cheeks heat up as he says this. He's never used the g word before.
"I am?" I ask with a twinge of hopefulness in my voice.
"If you want to be." He smiles and my eyes brighten when I nod.
"Yes please!" I say and he laughs, taking my hand in his.
"Come on. Let's go home."
My expression softens and I stare at him for a few seconds before a smile lights up my face and I nod.
A home with Tsukishima.

"We're here!" Kei calls out as we walk through the front door.
A few shuffles can be heard and then two people appear in front of us. My face heats up as a guy a few inches shorter than Kei, and a woman about my height look at me with a happy smile.
"It's nice to meet you, my name is Midori and this is my eldest son Akiteru." Kei's mother introduces them and they bow.
"I-I'm Imada Suzume. It's a pleasure to meet you both, pardon my intrusion." I deeply bow then slightly flinch when I feel someone's hands on my shoulders.
Midori giggles, raising me to stand up.
"There's no need for that! We're happy to have you- especially since you're Kei's girlfriend." She smiles and my blush only darkens.
She looks me up and down then back at Kei and frowns.
"Do you have more stuff?" She asks. I gulp, now feeling embarrassed that my belongings fit in just my school bag.
I shake my head and her eyes slightly widen before I see her give Kei a quick look.
"Okay! Well then let me show you to your room." She grabs my hand and begins to lead me upstairs. "We can change the decorations to whatever you want! I did add my own touch a bit but whatever you want to change, you can. Oh! How about we go to the store later and pick some stuff out?"
Overwhelmed with everything happening I end up just nodding and following her to the room. Once she pushes the door open and pulls me in, I start to wonder how anyone would want to change anything in here.
Midori clearly has a great eye for interior design. This looks like it came straight out of Pinterest.
"I'm getting more excited already. Because you're dating Kei it feels like my daughter in law is moving in." She puts her hands over her cheeks and grins. "I've always wanted to have girls night and a salon buddy!"
"Mom we just solidified our relationship like 20 minutes ago. Don't make her uncomfortable." Kei says as he enters the room and sets my bag on the bed, sitting down.
"Hey! I'm not." She pouts and motions for me to sit next to Kei.
I walk over and settle myself on the bed next to him as she comes over to stand in front of us.
Why do I feel like I'm in trouble...?
"So because you two are dating, and now under the same roof, I want to set some ground rules." Midori starts and a small gasp escapes from my lips.
I shoot up from my seat and bow once again.
"I am so sorry for coming into your home without your knowledge. I promise I won't sneak around like that in your home ever again." I apologize but she just laughs.
"It's okay! I'm happy Kei started opening up more to people and started doing normal teenager things, but I just want to know who's in my home. You know?"
"Yes ma'am." I sit back down and she smiles.
"So anyways, I'm not going to make you guys leave the door open or anything if you're in each other's rooms but no spending the night with each other. And if you have sex, use protection and only when nobody else is home. For the love of all things living- I will die if I have to hear you." She shakes her head and my eyes widen.
"Mom!" Kei exclaims.
"What? You guys are sexually active so it has to be said. I don't want grand babies yet either!"
A horrified expression takes over my face and Kei sheepishly turns to me.
"I'm sorry...I had to tell her because if I lied I would have gotten in more trouble." He puts a hand on my shoulder and gently rubs.
"It's fine, I don't mind. Honestly I'm just relieved you aren't with Yachi." Midori shudders and almost looks disgusted. "The one time she came over for your guy's project, I already knew she wasn't good."
Oh. I'm going to love it here.
