It was Saturday night, meaning that tomorrow was Sunday and you had the day off. So, of course the rest of the class decided to have a mini party (well, most of them).
You were currently sitting on the log, holding a can of grape juice that you hadn't even opened yet. Watching the others listen to music and chat, the feeling of satisfaction rested on your shoulders.
"Come on, Y/n! Aren't you gonna dance?" Mina giggled with her hand out.
"Oh no, I can't dance."
"Everyone can dance. Come onnn."
You rolled your eyes, laughing a bit, "Fine."
So you awkwardly danced next to the pink girl, smiling and shaking your head at how stupid you probably looked. But your attention was diverted when you heard Denki call over Mina.
"Guys, lookie what I got." he said, showing the glass bottle of liquor, probably some sort of cheap vodka he nabbed from his parents and hid at the bottom of his bag.
"No way, give me some." Mina sat down, taking a gulp of the harsh liquid. Some of the others did the same, Bakugou shaking his head the whole time.
You went and sat down next to him, "You don't like alcohol?"
He didn't reply at first, watching the other kids chuckle, sometimes burping slightly, "Its not for me."
"I've never had any."
"You haven't?" Mina butted into the conversation, "Oh my god, you gotta try some, I wanna see a drunk Y/n just once in my life."
"Don't peer pressure her, idiot." Bakugou snapped.
"What? You don't think I can handle it?" you smirked at the boy, "Watch me."
The others gasped, Mina handing the bottle to you, watching as you took a rather large gulp, you really didn't expect it to be as bad as it was.
Gagging a bit, you threw the bottle back to her, and sat back down on the log next to Bakugou.
"Seeing your reaction, you probably can't handle it." he said with a smug expression written across his face.
Your eyes rested on the bonfire, trying to ignore the painful feeling burning your throat.
The others continued to listen to music, dancing occasionally. Some, Denki in particular, ended up drinking a bit too much and it was obvious. As much as you wanted to laugh along at it, you were finding it hard.
After 20 minutes, you felt the alcohol hit you and it wasn't a feeling you enjoyed. The loss of control was uncomfortable, something you weren't used to. So you focused on pushing down your anxiety.
"I'm really glad you joined our class, it's so nice to have you as a friend, Y/n." Mina interrupted your thoughts, sitting opposite to you with the others.
"Yeah, I know you're still new, but it's exciting to have someone new around us." Kirishima added.
"Mhm, I just know we will be best friends one day." Mina slurred a little.
Your expression was frozen still, a slate of guilt. Lips pursed together, your eyes began to shimmer slightly, but just not enough for them to see. Well, not all of them.
"You okay?" Red eyes were watching you from your right. Turning to look at them your lips parted slightly, before you shook your head slightly.
"I need to go."
You rushed off, towards the forest, towards anywhere that would give you that horrible but familiar feeling of isolation. The one you had become comfortable within.
