The snow was still falling today, a bittersweet thing.

You walked further into the forest, you felt lonely, but you like it that way - it was comforting. No one could touch you or hurt you here.

Letting your mind trail back to the people who you were spending your time with, you sighed. You couldn't stop thinking about him, his red eyes, his soft touch.

Bakugou had everything you never had, loving parents, friends around him, a bed to go home to every night. He shouldn't want anything to do with someone like you, yet he couldn't help himself. It didn't matter if he was a hero or not anymore, he didn't deserve what was coming.

You sat down, thinking about the whole situation, not noticing the friendly creatures that came to greet you.

A small deer trotted up to you, with a small blue butterfly sitting on top of its head. Carefully, you reached out towards it, delicately stroking the side of its neck.

"I wish I had your life." you whispered to the small animal.

The blue butterfly landed on your finger, gently presenting its sapphire wings to you. You giggled at the way the creature was showing off.

Even the butterflies were drawn to her, the blonde thought as you came into his view. He slowly approached you, being cautious not to scare away your new friends.

"You left." Bakugou stated the obvious, catching you off guard. His voice started the deer, causing it to run off, however the butterfly remained calm.

"Bakugou." you looked over to the tall boy. "Come here."

He did as you asked, sitting down next to you.

"Put out your hand." once again he did as you asked, putting the back of his hand in the air lazily.

Slowly, you put your hand next to his, "This is Bakugou." you said to the butterfly, the blonde giving you a weird look as you spoke to it as if it could hear you, not admitted to himself that he found it cute.

The small creature fluttered onto the back of his hand, you giggling slightly as you said, "It likes you."

Bakugou looked at you, picking up on the fondness you has for the blue winged insect. He has grown to adore this side of you, and it made him all jumbled up.

"Y/n."

He always did this, pointlessly say your name with nothing else in his mind to say. Doe eyes rested on his vermillion ones. Not that either of you noticed, but the butterfly fluttered away.

"You're happier today...that's good."

"Yes." You mumbled.

"I.." he started, but couldn't finish his sentence straight again, "Can I hold your hand again?" his voice was a mess of embarrassment and fluster.

Feeling your body heat up slightly, you didn't have the courage to reply, you just let your hand rest on his for a short moment, before intertwining your fingers with his. He didn't realise how much he was longing to feel this again until now.

The snow made your surroundings glow under the sun, even twinkle a little.

Delicately, his other hand raised up to push your hair out of your face, before resting behind your ear.

She's so beautiful.

He didn't want to move too fast with you, but he couldn't help but long for your touch, for you to be near him.

When you smiled at him, it made him lose all thought.

"Why are you staring at me?" Your said, pulling him out of his daze.

Looking to the side, his hand dropped as he let out an awkward laugh. "I was just thinking."

"It's okay, your hands feel warm. And they smell like caramel." you smiled again.

He sighed, looking over at you with only his eyes, "Idiot, you weren't supposed to realise. It's just my quirk."

"I never get to have sweets, so it's nice." you replied.

Another moment of comfortable silence passed again before you spoke.

"Why did you come find me?"

"Um..I was just wondering where you were." his voice a bit uneasy.

Inside, you knew that you needed to cut off this weird friendship with him as soon as possible, but that was harder than you thought.

He saw the way you looked at him, as if your irises were opening up and whispering secrets to him, telling him to run away while he still can.

"They're all going to the pool." he said, but you still looked at him with that empty expression that he had knew too familiarly now.

"You go, I'll stay here." you said the opposite of what he wanted to here. He purposely came to find you to avoid swimming with those 'extras'. And maybe another reason.

"You don't like swimming?" he asked you.

"I don't like nor dislike it, I just don't have anything to wear."

"You could just borrow someone else's, idiot."

"What? So I can sit on the edge barely even talking to anyone and anyone who actually would talk to me just doing it out of pity?"

He knew you weren't stupid, anyone could tell that you didn't fit in like the others do. Even if you seemed to be slowly making friends, there was still a massive distance. You were the girl no one knew anything about.

"Don't be like this again." He knew he said the wrong thing, but the words already left his mouth.

"You don't get to be the one to tell me that. You know nothing about me."

"Then tell me! Can't you see I'm trying?" He ran his fingers through his hair, looking over the tree to avoid your eyes.

The bitter feeling of anger you felt inside started to dissolve, being replaced by something else - disappointment. Disappointment in yourself, it was constant. All you ever did was disappoint the people around you, something All for One reminded you of everyday. You just wished you could be better.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why you try with me because...I always do this, I get angry and scared and I take it out on the nearest person. I've already done it to you more than once. God, if I could change I would." you looked down at your lap.

"Y/n," He said waiting for you to give him any sort of response, "look at me."

Your eyes landed on red ones, his holding a slight glimpse of guilt.

"It's not your fault, newbie. Don't be so hard on yourself."

His words were soft, almost unsure, but his eyes held a sincerity that you had never seen before. It felt like it was the first day of your life, the words 'it's not your fault' were something you never truly believed until now.

He watched your eyes brighten, the grey cloud that fogged them dissolved into nothing. As if finally, you could see - and his was the first face you saw.

"Thank you, Katsuki."
