Killua breathed heavily as he knocked on the huge entrance door of the mansion. The doors opened widely as he got in, running all the way up the mountain. He opened the house's door with his key and threw himself on the couch next to the electronic fireplace. That is one of the stupidest things in this place.
Things have been great lately. Honestly he hasn't felt this way in a long time. The four friends were never as close as they are now. Gon and him were on good terms for awhile too. They were actually nice to each other which felt extremely weird. He didn't fell lonely anymore. He stopped studying till his nose bled or beating himself up for feeling insufficient.
He had Ikalgo, Retz, Palm and even Gon by his side...
And sometimes reality would hit him like a truck that three weeks later they would graduate high school and scatter across the world for good education. He may never see them again... He may never see Gon again and he would only be an unimportant, stupid guy he used to hate and he forgot. He will have new friends and a new girlfriend...
As Killua was about to ruin his own happiness, Gotoh came in the room.
"I see you arrived from your run, Master Killua." Killua turned his head towards him as he nodded. Gotoh was wearing his usual butler uniform and there was an envelope in his hands.
"Yeah, it was cold so I didn't run that much. What is the envelope for?"
Killua's big blue porcelain eyes locket at Gotoh's black ones as he saw the proudness and excitement in it.
"The letter is for you, Master Killua." Killua got up and looked at the envelope suspiciously.
Is that what I think it is?
"You got in to Cambridge." Killua's eyes widened in shock as he walked towards Gotoh and snatched the letter. He opened and started reading it as tears streamed down is eyes.
I got in. All of this wasn't for nothing but- but then why am I feeling this empty?

"What's the celebration for?" Gon sat down beside Killua as he saw the cake.
"Killua got in to Cambridge! Woo-hop!" Retz threw more heart-shaped papers as Zushi sighed and took the broom to clear the floors.
Gon smiled even though he didn't feel like it. He looked at Killua who looked troubled.
Gon bent down to Killua's ear as he whispered. "Isn't that a bit far?"
Killua turned to Gon, looking deep into his sweet honey eyes. He coughed awkwardly as he backed away a little. "No shit, it's half a world away." Gon nodded awkwardly. He thought about how boring it would be if Killua wasn't around. He wouldn't get to annoy the white hair fluffy cat, he wouldn't get to see how he blushed at the nicknames Gon comes up with or he wouldn't t get to see how his dimples would show up or how how eyes disappeared when a huge smile pulled up on the corners of his lips.
Gon remembered the blimey in Killua's eyes when he was telling him about his dreams to go to Cambridge when they were only six. He loved Cambridge, it was his dream. Then why did he looked so troubled?
"Why aren't you happy?" Gon whispered to Killua, making Killua look at him with hesitation in his eyes.
