"How's life going for you? Sad or just shitty."
The necklaces are at the top, just image it has the writing on the ring.
Melody's POVAfter the drive to my apartment, I had no other choice but to invite everyone else, it would be rude. I took the liberty to introduce myself.
I'm currently people watching right now. There's about twenty five people here. Some are here to support and some are here to get away from their problems.
Alex went off to take a phone call, and as far as for everyone else they are enjoying themselves, but I should probably talk, instead of staring.
There is one thing, I want to do tonight and it's been lingering on my mind. It might be a risk, but what's life without one.
"Hello, Mr. Blackwell, I was hoping if we could talk out on the balcony, just for a few minutes?" I say, as I walk in front of him.
"Of course, anything for Alex's girlfriend." Mr. Blackwell says calmly as we both walk out onto the balcony.
"So, what would you like to talk about, Melody?" Mr. Blackwell says calmly, gazing at the city.
"I've heard that you don't like bringing up the past, and trust me I don't either but, I have on thing to ask of you." I say, calmly gazing out at the city too.
"Yes, I believe what in the past should stay in the past. What do you have to ask?" Mr. Blackwell says, calmly but eyes me suspiciously.
"Why?...Why hurt your family like that?...Have you ever wandered or even thought about the trauma that you've caused?" I say, turning to look him straight in the face.
"And, please do not make a scene, you're grown enough to talk instead of yell and fight. So, would you please answer." I say, seriously but calmly.
"Fine, you may have a point, I was drunk that night and over everything but that doesn't justify what I've done. The night it all happened, I knew I messed up."
"Everyday, I wonder of what trauma I've caused but, that trauma cannot be fixed. Every morning I feel guilty, my own son won't even look at me." Mr. Blackwell says seriously.
"I want to be forgiven, but that's kinda ask for too much." Mr. Blackwell says, sighing.
"You know, you still have time, I'm not saying rush and pressure Alex nor yourself but, just a simple talk might help. Just be understandable about what he's been through. " I say, calmly.
"Thank You, Melody." Mr. Blackwell says sincerely.
"Don't thank me yet, let's go back inside." I say, as we both walk back into my apartment, only to see Alex staring at me near the stairs.
"I'll see you later, enjoy the rest of your night, Mr. Blackwell." I say, as I walk over to Alex, but immediately get pulled back onto the balcony.
"What are you doing?" I say, as I watch Alex panic.
"Did he hurt you? I swear if he did, this isn't gonna end well for him." Alex says, fuming with anger.
"Hey, I need you to calm down, he didn't hurt me. I'm alright, we were just talking that's all." I say, making him look at me.
"About what?" Alex says, calming down.
"You." I say, calmly. "Do you think if he were to approach you and talk to you calmly, would you be willing to listen?"
