And now they were here days after with everything being a mess. The media wouldn't stop talking about Kellin and Vic's old relationship. People came up with theories of what happened over the New York trip, most of them being true—Oli doesn't have the emotional capacity to look into them.
Nicholas has gone radio silent as well and Vic was being Vic, doing damage control to save his own ass. Not one person could remember Kellin's fake boyfriend's username or find his real account since the internet did what the internet does—creating fake accounts-so contacting him was equally a nightmare. It was literally impossible to find Kellin or find a clue about where he was.
Oli had really considered going to the police to report him as a missing person. Gabe, of course, instantly shut that idea down. He didn't think it was a good idea since Kellin said he'd come home, and Gabe trusted him. At least, Gabe didn't think it was time to get the authorities involved.
Oli couldn't just sit there and wait though. Waiting is making him go insane. Still, he was at a loss where to even look for him.
He should go with the others. He needed to go with the others, to see if they'd figured anything out.
With that thought in his head, he stood up from his bed and lazily went to get ready. He showered and cleaned himself up a bit before getting dressed. Oli just pulled whatever he could get his hands on: a baggy black t-shirt, some grey sweatpants, and an old pair of sneakers.
Once he was ready to leave he grabbed his keys and went down to the garage and got into his car before driving off. Oli kept driving toward the direction of Jesse's place. The thing about Oli getting to Jesse's place was that it was similar to the route he took to get to Kellin's house. He just had to take a left for Jesse's and a right for Kellin's on one of the main streets.
He was driving down the street he was supposed to make his turn on. But, Oli had decided to turn right instead. He didn't know why he did it but he just kept driving. He could have made u-turns plenty of times and gone back down the way he was supposed to but he kept driving.
Something in his gut was telling him to go to Kellin's place. And well, if it was a waste of time at least he'd get peace of mind that he went to go check anyway. Oliver made it past the security gate and drove down the familiar path toward the singers. He was only going to drive by and see if maybe there was any sign of Kellin being home.
Before the New York trip, Kellin had left his car and taken an Uber to the airport so Oli couldn't really tell from that. He might just end up parking and knocking on his door. Oliver was getting closer and he could feel his hands get sweaty.
He didn't really know what to expect. But what he didn't expect to see was an unfamiliar car parked weirdly in the driveway next to Kellin's car. The driver's door was open but there was no one in it. Oli quickly parked his car and got out, walking to the abandoned car.
He frowned seeing discarded fast food bags in the front and then in the back seats luggage that Oli knew were definitely Kellin's. Kellin was here. The tall man looked over at the house before he closed the door and made a beeline toward the front door. He could feel his heartbeat loud in his ears as he knocked on the door.
He waited... And waited... no one was answering the door. Oli tried and knocked again.
Again no answer.
"Fuck," Oli mumbled before starting to look at his surroundings. He knew there was a spare key but he couldn't remember where exactly it was. There was only so much on Kellin's porch. A welcome rug, two potted plants—one on each side of the door—, and a couple of rocks. He knew the key wasn't under the rug because Justin had told him that was the first place people would look.
