It was painful.
Everything had been painful for the last week and a half to Oliver. He hadn't even had the chance to process anything that's been going on. Right after discovering what happened in New York, Gabe had told him he talked to Kellin. It was like a surge of energy knowing Kellin was going home that day. He had told Gabe he would take a flight and Oli instantly told the drummer he was going with him to pick Kellin up.
It was almost like the disappointment and confusion melted away at the idea of seeing him again. Oli couldn't care about anything else but Kellin and having him back.
Of course, that didn't happen. The singer hadn't given Gabe the flight information but they still went to the airport and stayed close to the entrances where the New York flights arrived from. They stayed there for hours. Everyone tried all they could but no one could reach Kellin.
It left Oli a mess and it was driving him insane not knowing where he was or if he was okay. He just wanted Kellin to be okay.
It had been difficult and he wasn't able to work normally. Oliver hadn't been back to his restaurant since then and he knew he should go back. He needed the distraction but not knowing where Kellin was, was eating him alive. What if he came back and called but couldn't leave work? What if he was stuck in traffic on his way to work and couldn't go to him because of the shitty LA traffic? How could he risk being unavailable?
Those were the only reasons that made him stay back.
Oli sat up in his bed and sighed softly as he ran his hand through his messy hair. He looked over to his bedside table and grabbed his phone before looking to see if maybe Kellin texted. He hadn't. The last text that was sent was from Oliver and it was just him begging him to answer.
He tried once again to call him as he had been doing the entire time Kellin was missing. It rang and rang and rang until the automated voicemail spoke into his ear. "Please leave your message for-" Oli hung up and threw his phone against the bed. God, he was worried sick! He didn't think he could handle not knowing where he was right now.
He'd heard the horror stories Kellin went through when he got into an unhealthy mindset. Gabe had told him. He told him everything that he knew, which was a lot more than Oliver could hardly even believe. But he was angry.
Well, angry was a bit of an understatement.
Oliver had never been a violent person. Usually, he would try de-escalating situations if there was a possibility of a fight. Once he knew the whole thing though, he felt this growing and burning rage settling in his chest. He wanted nothing more than to wrap his hands around Vic's neck and squeeze till he turned blue.
He wanted to hurt him. Oli wanted to hurt him so badly but even then it would only scratch off 1% of the pain Kellin had gone through. Oliver knew it wasn't healthy how willing he was to do this but Vic deserved nothing more than to get the pain back tenfold.
Still, the last thing he needed to do right now was worry about some prick. It wouldn't be any help anyway.
Besides that Mike had been in contact with Oli and the others, trying to figure out where Kellin was. He had informed them that Vic didn't have a clue where he was either—which none of them believed he would know. It was because of him that Kellin disappeared in the first place.
